the problem might be the phones hardware or the memory card itself when u dpn heave the phone at yours hands u cant possibly tell what is th poblem but the solution is take to electronics shop the phone or try insertng another memory card and see if it reacts and sees the card

First, remove the back and remove and reinsert the battery. If still a problem, your battery could be faulty. If still a problem and your phone is still under the 2-year warranty, return the phone to your provider for a replacement.

check if the phone is three band that means if the imei number start with 35---- then you have to unlock the phone contact a mobil software engineer.

try to delete them from ur pc using pc suite

I have found a solution to this problem without sending your phone back and/or paying to get it fixed. Now you can do this on you own personal computer and only takes around 5-10 mins depending on your internet and computer speeds. Ok below are some simple instructions to follow. Please give me a 'Fix ya!' if i helped :)

Instructions:

1. Go to either http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/w580i - to view some information on updating your phone or go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1231338335/Update_Service_Setup-2.9.1.10.exe - to download the application straight away.

2. Once you have downloaded and installed the program, open it, the program may download program updates and such - this is normal.

3. Once everything is open it will ask you for your language, so in my case, English (United Kingdom) and just follow the on screen instructions, everything basically self explaniary.

Note: This will wipe everything off the PHONES memory, take your memory card out to make sure you dont lose anything off that. If you think this is going to be a waste of time then you're wrong as this fixed my camera problem..

Also note: It will say your phone has the latest software installed, just click continue anyway as this will wipe your phone and install everything again, FIXED! :)

i'm having the same problem, i googled : w580i another application is using - and i found the new updated camdriver software on the first link, which is supposed to solve the issue,.......... but i don't know how to install it! please update the thread if anyone knows a step by step solution, as i can't find a "fs/camera" folder. peace, abz
