Go into the Display inside control panel. In the second tab, choose Calibrate screen. Once done, it should work properly

On your flip top key pad, you can remove first the middle cover, it is clip type so no need to un scew, but just be very carefull.

after removing it, you'll see to set of screw, remove it so that you can take out the flip key pad,

turn your unit back, near the camera , there are two small cover there , remove it and you will see two screw, take it out

open the battery cover, remove the battery and sim card and the memory card, inside you will see, again two set of screw, take it out,

now all the screw has been removed

on the side oy your unit where you ca find the scroll, try to plip out the cover usig a twizzer or any pointd object, just flip the cover easily until you where able to remove the topcover completely

now just support the LCD, be very carefull so that may never damaged the flex of your screen

at the back of the screen, there are again another set of screw, remove it slowly, make sure that you supported the screen properly

then you can remove the lcd after taking out the stainless cover protection

removing the board is very simple, just lift the board a little higher enough for you to see the back of the board, there is another flex wire attached to the board and the scroll switch, remove it carefully.

then thats it, you had dismantle your unit

Try to observe if the phone is booting normally,If its powering ON and normal booting takes place,possible to have a display problem

But if the phone totally just lights ON with out any response, possibility is the software or firmware crash,updating the software on the internet is not possible because the phone needs to boot in normal mode first before trying to update, on your phone case.it is already stack up so the computer or the software itself might not able to recognize the phone.

* To update or program the mobile firmware, it will be possible to revive with the use of gsm gadget and only service center are well provided of gadgets.

get a new phone. Honestly at the point that the original manufacturer declares it obsolete its time to upgrade. i recommend the motorola droid x 2 and droid 2 both are solid phones.

Please update the Sony Ericcson's suite to the latest version, it may not support your phone. Secondly, ensure that you have installed the correct application version on your system, ie. if your operating system is 64-bit, ensure that your application is also 64-bit version. Thirrdly, indicate which method you are using to connect to the device: Is it via USB, bluetooth virtual serial port or a serial cabloe conductor?

You can generally get a free unlock code for your mobile handset by calling up your cell phone carrier and requesting one. In exchange they will need you phone's IMEI number which you can get by typing *#06# on your dial pad. the keypad ribbon cable of your phone is defective try to clean or replace it.
