If you didn't turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF, before removing the filter. That is the problem. To clear the error message. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF, unplug the unit, remove the filter and reinstall it. Wait 10 minutes, plug the unit back in, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. The controls should have reset themselves and the clean filter light should not appear.

I have that model Air conditioner with remote. Although the remote is marked Admiral thats the only identifying marks on the outside. Here are pictures of the remote.

Hope this helps. You might try a company called Vance Baldwin they usually carry a large inventory of remote replacements for all kinds of applicances. Had to get a remote for my Panasonic DVD player and it was only $12.00 (brand new)

no power to outside unit , no 24 volts to pull in contactor, bad contactor.

Look at your remote carefully. There is a bal pen type push to reset filter button on the remote. Depress the rest button and it should reset. Also on the contol panel you can also reset it by depressing the mode and the UP temp arrow buttons for 5 seconds.

Simple, remove the battery and after 1 or 2 minutes replace the battery and use it.

Open the front Panel, On the extreme right hand side there is a white colour button, press it hard for 2 minutes, make sure your AC power it switch on, the clean filter light will disappear.
Do this only after cleaning, drying and reinstalling your filer net.
