Frigidaire FRU17G4JW Refrigerator - Page 2 Questions & Answers
My refrig door wont seal tight can you buy
if you are having frost buil up on the model and it appears to be a freezer the seal may not be bad but you can not buy new magnets.the seal comes as one piece.you can do it your self.but try sealing the air flow vents in the bottom of the door with tape or silicone.the the diffuse plate in the back if it has slotted holes in it they can be covered with some aluminum tape.if you change the door seal the insultaion in the door panel should be change as well it more than likely has some ice build up in there
Ice in bottom of frezer
make sure your doorgasket is sealing correctly. if the water runs out it shows that the defrost heater is working.
Refrigerator door won't shut
Check to see if the door gasket has forzen water that is preventing it from collapsing like it should and wedging the door open. This would most likely be on the hinge side of the door.
Also make sure the gasket is not bent or warped and binding as it closes.
Let us know if you find nothing wrong there and we can look further.

What does E6 code in Frigidaire wine fridge mean? Model FGWC5233TS
The E6 error code on a Frigidaire wine fridge, specifically the model FGWC5233TS, indicates a fault with the upper temperature sensor. When this error code is displayed, it means that the temperature sensor located in the upper portion of the wine fridge is not functioning properly or is experiencing a malfunction.
To troubleshoot and resolve the E6 error code, you can try the following steps:
- Unplug the wine fridge from the power source for a few minutes and then plug it back in. This may reset the error code and resolve any temporary issues.
- Ensure that the wine fridge is properly leveled. Uneven positioning can affect the performance of the temperature sensor. Adjust the feet or placement of the unit to ensure it is level.
- Check for any obstructions or blockages around the upper temperature sensor. Make sure there are no items blocking the sensor or disrupting its operation.
- If the error persists, it is recommended to contact Frigidaire customer support or a qualified appliance technician for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on the model and help diagnose and repair the issue with the upper temperature sensor.
