Good Morning friend, thanks for your post!

From what you have described you unplugged your Frigidaire refrigerator to clean it and now it is not cooling. You could have a possible short within the control panel or wiring harness. I would recommend performing a reset on your refrigerator and you can do that by disconnecting the power for at least ten minutes. If that does not jump start your compressor you may want to make sure it is not in demo mode or the control is locked you should be able to notice any error codes on the panel. If you need additional help I would recommend contacting a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. -Matt

Where is the control board located on refrigerator

If it's like my PHSC239DSB, it's behind the front grill, left side, in a box that will slide out once you take out a screw. If there are two screws, one going upward and one toward the back, take out the one going upward. It's a bit more difficult but you won't have the metal bracket hanging down and in the way. Should just slide out. If not, use a flashlight to see where it's hanging up. Mine comes out far enough to unplug all connectors and to take off the bracket holding the harnesses in.

High temp alarm

Maybe not defrosting. Take out several baskets until you can get at the screws that hold the back panel on and remove it. Now you should be able to see the evaporator. And likely a lot of ice/heavy frost. In that case, use a blow dryer or heat gun - I used the latter since I had so much solid ice - and start melting the ice away. Before you melt the ice around the defrost thermostat which clamps to one of the evaporator tubes, disconnect its 2 wires and check for continuity. Should have continuity when it's that cold. Then check continuity for the heater element. Usually it's around 30 ohms. If you're lucky, the fault lies with one of those components.

Frigidaire model PHSC239DSBO has no power to ice and water dispenser

I have the same problem. Also no power to the water valves or the connection at the top hinge of the freezer door. Also, nothing at the wire going to the freezer light switch. The switch is good as is the bulb. Everything else seem to be working ok. Wondering where to check next.

WHERE IS THE MAIN CONTROL BOARD LOCATED ON A FRIGIDAIRE REFRIGERATOR PHSC239DSB0

Behind front grill below the doors, on the left in a box held in by one screw. There are two screws there. I unscrew the one pointing up so the metal bracket comes out with the box.

Water & ice dispenser don't work

The button lock switch along with the other switches on the door use one common return wire for power to the solenoids. The freezer door light switch will stop power to the buttons if it has failed.

Sounds like the defrost timer isn't set to the correct time. You want it to operate in the middle of the night not during the day.

Frigidaire will not manually defrost 2004 side by side

A mechanical defrost timer controls the defrost cycle of the appliance. In older models, the timer runs continuously and roughly every six hours, cuts power to the cooling system and sends power to the defrost heater. In newer models the timer advances only while the compressor or defrost cycle is running - an improvement for efficiency. As the timer continues to advance, power to the heating element is cut and power is restored to the cooling system. If the timer does not advance, the appliance will be stuck either in defrost or refrigerate mode, resulting in, respectively, no cooling or frost build-up.
window.google_render_ad();

The defrost timer is usually found behind the front grill of the freezer. It may also be found behind a cover plate inside the freezer, in the temperature control console, or behind the freezer near the compressor.
To test whether the defrost timer is simply failing to advance, locate the advance screw and turn it clockwise until you hear it click. This advances it to the next mode. If it was cooling before, it is now in defrost mode. Simply wait about 35 minutes and check whether it has left defrost mode and has resumed cooling (listen for the compressor). If it does not advance, the timer motor is probably bad and the entire timer needs to be replaced. If it advances as it should, then you can follow the steps below to test the switch electrically.
The timer is usually held in place with one or more screws. Remove the screws and gently pull the timer out far enough to disconnect the wiring connector. The connector can be removed by firmly pulling and rocking it left and right. It is not necessary to note the position of the wires because the connector plug is keyed so that it can be replaced in only one way.

Once you have located the common terminal, touch one probe to it. Touch the other probe to each of the three remaining terminals. The multitester should display a reading of zero or near to zero ohms (which indicates continuity) for one pair of the terminals and possibly two pairs. The third pair of terminals should show no continuity (infinity).
Locate the timer switch and turn it clockwise until you hear it click. Now retest the timer as you did above. One pair of terminals should indicate continuity (possibly two pairs). At least one pair should give a reading of infinity. Note however, one of the pairs that showed continuity in the first test should now read infinity and one pair that read infinity should now show continuity. If the defrost timer does not pass these tests, it is likely that it should be replaced.
* We have received two reports of cases in which only one pair of terminals shows continuity and when the timer is advanced, the same pair still shows continuity. For these isolated cases, this was reported to be the correct operation of the timer. At this time we have not been able verify this case. This may indicate a specific model or models that use a different wiring configuration than discussed in this article. Also, note that this article applies to mechanical defrost timer controls and not electronic or adaptive defrost controls.

What does E6 code in Frigidaire wine fridge mean? Model FGWC5233TS

The E6 error code on a Frigidaire wine fridge, specifically the model FGWC5233TS, indicates a fault with the upper temperature sensor. When this error code is displayed, it means that the temperature sensor located in the upper portion of the wine fridge is not functioning properly or is experiencing a malfunction. To troubleshoot and resolve the E6 error code, you can try the following steps:
  1. Unplug the wine fridge from the power source for a few minutes and then plug it back in. This may reset the error code and resolve any temporary issues.
  2. Ensure that the wine fridge is properly leveled. Uneven positioning can affect the performance of the temperature sensor. Adjust the feet or placement of the unit to ensure it is level.
  3. Check for any obstructions or blockages around the upper temperature sensor. Make sure there are no items blocking the sensor or disrupting its operation.
  4. If the error persists, it is recommended to contact Frigidaire customer support or a qualified appliance technician for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on the model and help diagnose and repair the issue with the upper temperature sensor.

Frigidaire Side by Side Refrigerator. How to stop the loud humming noise coming from it please?

Question edited for clarity. It sounds like the compressor is struggling / overheating / failing. When was the last time your stripped the back out and removed all the fluff and debris? It overworks the compressor and gets red hot when the condenser coils get blocked. The struggling compressor causes the humming. Turn it off, keep the doors closed and vacuum it all out. Clean underneath and you might as well clean the floor and walls around it as the plan is to leave it disconnected for 1 to 2 hours to cool down and settle the refrigerant gas/liquid. Some other ideas below. The evaporator fan motor circulates air over the coils to help keep things cool inside your fridge. If this motor starts to go bad, it will make a buzzing sound as it struggles to circulate air. You'll need to replace the evaporator fan motor to fix this problem. Aug 22, 2022
