It sounds like low gas pressure. This is controlled by a regulator that needs checking. This is not a recommended DIY project.

From what you are saying there are no temperature probes hence it cannot measure the temperatuare and therefore cannot control it.

sounds like you will have to strip it to get to where the water is causing the fault

test the voltage at the terminal cooling fan, if there are the fan is faulty, if there ARE NOT , test the switch, where is loose the voltage, use the multimeter.
