for converting 486 to the base 10 to base 6 dived 486 by 6 and note the quotients and remainder.

486/6 = quotient = 81 remainder = 0.now divide quotient by 6 and note quotient and remainder.

81/6 = quotient 13 remainder= 3

13/6 = quotient 2 remainder = 1 .

2/6 = quotient 0 remainder= 2.

Hence reading remainder from below we get 2130.

I have three tenders a, b and c estimate

There can be three possibility for winning only one tender. Can win only a or only win b or only win c.

probability for winning a = 0.2.

probability of loosing a = 1 - 0.2 =0.8.

Similarly probability of loosing b and c are 0.7 and 0.6 respectively.

so probability of winning only one tender = win a * lose b * lose c + lose a* win b * lose c + lose a * lose b * lose c.

= 0.2 * 0.7 * 0.6+ 0.8 * 0.3 * 0.6 + 0.8 * 0.7 * 0.4

= .452 is the probability of getting only one tender.

Thank you.

Need help in Algerbra, how to solve this problem

3(8)+3(5+3)=x(10+2) First add numbers in ()
3(8)+3(8)=x(12) Now multiply the numbers next to ()
24+24=12x Now add the 24 +24
48=12x Now we have to solve for x. 12x is actually 12 times x. in order to solve for x we have to do the opposite and divide by 12
48=12x
12 12

4=1x is the same as 4=x.

If 13,000 is to be shared between two people so

Hi,
Let the two numbers be x and y Then, x + y = 13000.........(i) Now, let x = y+3600.........(ii). Therefore putting equation (ii) in (i), we get 2y + 3600 = 13000. 2y = 13000 - 3600 = 9400 Therefore, y = 9400/2 = 4700 Now putting y = 4700 in (ii), we get x = 8300.

Rating the solution is highly appreciated.
