Go through the info you have now, slowly and step by step. Even Technicians get confused with poor info books. lol

Either you have a bad connection to the heating element or the element has opened and is need of replacement.

I get this complaint many times from owners of stoves that "watch" them , I always carry a clip on thermometer and if you invest in one you may see something different than the stoves indicator shows , once I a great while I do see stoves that get heavy uses the sensor does get covered up by cooking grease's and doenst show an accurate display but I suggest in investing in a clip on INside stove thermometer they go miles towards better cooking

its asking you to set the clock, set the clock and it will stop

Either you have an open element a burnt terminal lead or a bad control try setting on broil only the element should glow in bake the bottom element should glow while the top cycles on/off based on your description of a humming noise I would suspect the relay on the control board

The buttons could be locked in cleaning mode. Cleaning mode lets you wipe the screen with a rag without pressing the buttons. There is a way to get it into and out of cleaning mode, probably a button with a padlock emblem near it that you hold down until you hear a beep. It is possible that there is a two button combination that you have to hold down.

replace parts only. no home fix on these. Depending on model #, the parts may no longer be available, but you can always search on ebay for one.

Kenmore 30" Drop In Model # 911.45565791. Turned on the r. front burner and it sparked at terminal block. Swapped coil with the other one and it still did not work. Did not see any broken wires. Replaced terminal block, any ideas? All other burners, etc. work fine.
