My Uline Echelon Clear Ice Maker (CLR2160) is showing a P1 error code. It was making ice fine and then suddenly stopped and the P1 code appeared. I have tried turning it off and on to no avail, the error code is still there. What causes the P1 error code and what can I do to get it working?
P1 is a indicator of a slow or clogged drain check to make sure that every thing is draining good if line is clear make sure pump is coming on to pump the water out of the bin. once all is clear unplug the unit for an hour then plug back in this will clear code unless you still have a drain issue.

Our ice maker (on our boat) made ice last year fine, this year it gets cold but very little ice, now the water seems to fill into the bucket.
Hi,

Turn off the machine if water is still running then unplug the machine. If the water is still running then check water presser from water supply to make sure it is under 80 psi before replacing water inlet valve.

U-line CLR2160 won't go into clean cycle. I hold the power button while pressing the light button 3 times.
I had to hold Power for 10+ seconds (until last "F" flashes, quickly let go of Power, then press and hold it again and while holding it pres the light three times.
The process doesn't follow the manual's instructions at all.
Their older model units with the physical on/off/clean selector switch was much more reliable than their new 2160 with touch screen controls!

I just bought a house with a concrete slab floor (no under-floor access, built in 1972). After closing, I found out the refrigerator icemaker doesn't work because it has no water supply. Upon further investigation, the nearest water source is the kitchen sink, which is on the wall opposite the refrigerator, about 8 feet away. The kitchen is U-shaped, sink on one leg of U, refrigerator on opposite leg, with a doorway at the bottom of the U. I have thought of 4 methods, listed in order of difficulty, easiest first, best permanent solution last, and would appreciate somebody listing some better alternatives.
(1) Buy a rectangular 5-gallon plastic water tank (about 12'' X 12'' x 4'' high) x and set on top of refrigerator. Connect it to the icemaker, and refill once every 2 or 3 weeks. Reset the icemaker ejector timer to offset the low water pressure. Easiest, but least desirable solution.
(2) Cut holes in the sheetrock walls behind the frig and underneath the sink. Run PVC conduit (necessary for replacing the line when it freezes as it surely will eventually) up the sink wall into the attic, across the attic, and down into the frig wall. Pull a plastic or copper supply line into the conduit. When it freezes, I can pull it out and pull in a new one.
(3) Cut the same wall holes, but cut additional temporary access holes in the doorway wall, and run the tubing completely inside the walls and above the doorway. Advantage is the line is less likely to freeze in the interior walls, disadvantage is the extra holes that will have to be refinished and repapered.
(4) Remove some vinyl floor tiles, get a concrete saw and saw a 1'' wide x 2'' or 3'' deep trench across the 8' wide floor. Install 3/4'' PVC conduit with 45-degree bend on each end, grout and finish to original floor level, pull in copper tubing, connect it up, buy new floor tiles if a match can be found, otherwise replace all tiles in kitchen. I think this is best long-term solution, but I hesitate to tackle the dusty noisy concrete sawing. Holes in the walls will still probably be necessary to get the trench far enough back against the walls. There is a small risk also of sawing into the existing water lines.
Anyone have some additional options?

The water keeps running after the tray is full and runs out into the ice catch basin, then onto the floor.

Ice production exceeds predicted production. Refrigerants are at the proper level. What could the problem be?
This looks to be a Scottsman Ice machine so could be that your condenser fan motor isn't running or you need to clean the condenser which either of these could cause the compressor to be extremely hot. If it is over producing ice then you could try to turn down the bin level. If this doesn't fix your problem with over production then you may need to replace the bin level thermostat which can be located at the bottom of the machine. It is the one that has the knob on it. The other thermostat behind the control cover is the cube size control which routes to the back, top of the machine. The bin level control routes around under the bottom between the compressor and the case, then up and into the back of the cabinet. The silver colored scoop holder inside the machine to the right is where the bin level thermostat registers it's temperatures. It's not just a scoop holder. Let me know if you need more help. Thanks.

Push one of the keys to see if display is to reset. or turn and off via the display key pad. or unplug the unit for one minute then plug back in if any of these steps return the unit back to operation the unit was probably accidentally entered into a service mode.
