We have replaced the relay board on a jenn-air
there is a big difference between an open circuit and a dead short
you will still get a reading indicating a circuit even with a dead short which is your code
suggest that you get in a technician to find the code faults as it is costing you money guess replacing

Oven is dead after self clean. I'm an electrician so I have verified high limit switch continuity as well as 240v. to both relay boards.
Hello Jon;
My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
Although, people like the self cleaning feature, from a technician stand point we do not recommend using it, or use it for 1 hour only instead of 4 hours.
When you are in the self cleaning mode, the oven and components are subject to a temperature of 900-1,000 degrees F. When you are in this mode the door lock assembly will lock when you go above 550.00 Degrees F. and will not open until the oven temperature drops to 500 degrees F.
If you can open the oven door then you do not have a high temperature thermal switch problem. P/N 71001844 ($70.00). If you can not open the door, jump the switch located on the very top on the same plain as the door latch assembly - JUST LONG ENOUGH TO SEE IF THE CONTROL PANEL LIGHTS UP. Of course apply the jumper while the unit is un plugged.
Check your relays again. You may have burned out your relays. You have 240V going in. Do you have 120V going out to the board?
If you have 120V going out to the board, then you have burned out your board. This board is also located at the very top, on the same plain as your door latch. P/N 74001845 ($280.00)
Search the web for these parts. I got a similar remanufactured oven control board for $40.00. Note: Ground yourself by touching bare metal before touching the control board. Static electricity will knock out a board.
Since you are a professional, go into the following website, plug in your model number and look at the wiring schematic.

Jenn-Air Wall Oven Model #WW30430P F5 Fault Code
I have the exact same problem with an F5 fault code. I also have a new clock assembly. RepairClinic.com said "Jenn Air fault code F5 = Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree / Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC)
Jenn Air Fault code for newer models F5 = Power to element relays disabled in cook mode
1. Intermittent oven temperature sensor or wire harness or,
2. Intermittent contact on power relay board"
This doesn't help since it is too technical. What should I do next?

Wall ovens
This Usually indicates a shorted keypad. Turn off at the breaker. Unplug
membrane strip connected to the clock from the clock, turn breaker on. If code comes back replace
the clock, if no code you need the touchpad replaced
Let me know how this goes, thanks

LED Display fading
As noted in solutions to other Jenn Air ovens, this is often solved by replacing the capacitor labeled C3 on the circuit board that contains the display. Oven heat apparently causes it to fail over time. This is a solder connection to the circuit board. Not hard if you have any experience with this kind of soldering it is straightforward.
Seven phillips sheet metal screws to remove panel assembly, plus two electrical connectors. One ribbon connector from touch panel to board, then four 1/4 hex sheetmetal screws to remove circuit board from touch panel and metal frame. Then soldering iron.
It did work on a 40300 dual unit, which is same as this model except for cosmetics.
Capacitor is 35 volt 68 microfarad. Radio shack has 100 microfarad, which one report says works. Radio shack doesn't have a 68, but they do have 22 and 47 which mounted in parallel give 69, which is within tolerance. That's what I used. The capacitors cost $1.29, less than 1% of the cost of a new circuit board.

Jjw9630aab panel is dim
See other posts regarding replacement of capaciter #C3 on control board, cost of capaciter approx 65 cents.
BrianGem posted a great solution back in May of '08, I just completed that fix on my own Jenn air, took me about 30 minutes once I got the correct capacitor.
The display board apparently has a weak spot in the design, most likely heat related, (probably low priced components from offshore sources)
Fix: Replace heat damaged capacitor labeled C3 on display board, Hard part will be obtaining the 35Volt 68uF capacitor, I'm lucky enough to have a Brother in the electronics design field who found me a couple of high reliability caps designed for hot applications, He does not recommend changing sizes without design review for fear of overloading another component, however several other posts have indicated that a 35V 100mF cap has worked fine for them.
My control panel was attached to the oven with 4 screws accessed from above the top oven door, the panel slid up about 1/2 " and lifted off, Unplug the ribbon cables and the panel can be removed to a convenient work surface. The display board itself is mounted with 4 screws and connected with a wide flat ribbon cable, the suspect capacitor is surface mounted to the reverse side of the board, two plastic clips need to be released (gently) and the ribbon cable unplugged. Capacitor is likely discolored or leaking, De-solder it and replace with new, match polarity marks and don’t use any more solder than needed. TURN OFF POWER TO OVEN PRIOR TO STARTING ANY REPAIRS.
If you run into trouble drop me an e-mail to [email protected] and I’ll try to help.
Good luck.
