Roku 2 remote won't work

Hi, If you have a Wi-Fi Roku remote or a bluetooth Roku Remote, the remote needs to be paired with the unit first before you can control the device. To pair the unit with the remote, you can do the following:
  1. Turn off the Roku player for 30 seconds by unplugging the power cord from the power outlet.
  2. Once you have the bouncing Roku on your TV screen, open the battery compartment of the remote and press the purple button there once.
  3. The Led on the remote should start blinking.
  4. Leave the Led blinking and don't press any button on your Roku remote.
  5. Wait for the Led to stop blinking.
  6. Once the Led stopped blinking, try to test any button and see if it works.

Where do I buy another A/V cord?

Hi, When you say the "A/V" cord, I will assume you mean the HDMI cable. These cables are available at most stores like Target, Walmart, Best Buy or other stores that carry electronics accessories. You can also visit the ROKU website and purchase accessories directly from them. Their web address is: https://www.roku.com/accessories

Is there are a Bluetooth in built in Roku 2XS it seems to show up in my smartphone and table bluetooth device list and am unable to pair it.

That Roku has Bluetooth 3.0 built in. It is made for the gaming remote. Juice for Roku lets you use wifi to stream music, pics, and vids from your phone to the Roku. I have not played with the Roku iOS App nor the Roku Android App; but I hear they work well. Let us know if you try them! All the best to you, Kerry Hostetter 8f72202e-47a4-49c5-9bc5-51f4fff7dc07.jpg

When retreiving a program on roku, it begins loading. Halfway through retreiving it stops, checks connection and goes back to the beginning leavin it unfinished.

This actually depends on the speed of your connection or it could be an issue with the set up. Which channel are you trying to watch movie on? If you can isolate the case by trying other channels on your Roku and see if they have the same issue, it could be with the connection itself. What we can try is to power cycle the unit and then try other channels. You can also check the speed of your connection by access www.speedtest.net on your computer. using a browser and test the speed. Take note of the download speed.

I am having difficulty hooking up my old VCR to a TCL Roku TV.

Check the shielding of your antenna. Moreover make distance between VCR and antenna cable. In fact VCRs have a built in modulator and its signal is strong as compared to local antenna signal. There is another way, connect the local antenna in VCR RF In and connect RF Out of VCR to TV. In this scenario you have to tune your VCR to get the antenna channels instead of TV. It will solve your problem.

50 in onn roku tv piocture problem

Hi Randy, it sounds like you have a timing control board from another model or series TV, they can look identical but have different programs in the processor IC, if this isn't the case then something was changed in the service menu while the set wasn't operational. We've seen it happen in our repair center, we replace a board with the correct part but the picture is upside down or reversed, had to have happened when the owner was pushing buttons without a picture on the screen

Lost the remote and need to connect to new wifi

If your Simpson Aquarius 824 washing machine is not spinning, there are a few potential causes for this issue:
  1. Drive belt: The drive belt that connects the motor to the drum may be worn out or broken. If the belt is loose, damaged, or slipping, it can prevent the drum from spinning. Inspect the drive belt for any signs of wear, damage, or slackness. If necessary, replace the drive belt with a new one. Refer to the user manual or contact Simpson customer support for guidance on accessing and replacing the drive belt on your specific model.
  2. Motor coupler: The motor coupler is a component that connects the motor to the drum. Over time, the coupler can wear out or break, resulting in no spinning action. Inspect the motor coupler for any signs of damage or wear. If it appears damaged, it will need to be replaced. It's recommended to consult the user manual or contact Simpson customer support for instructions on how to access and replace the motor coupler.
  3. Lid switch or door lock: Washing machines often have a safety feature that prevents spinning if the lid or door is not properly closed. Check if the lid or door is securely closed and make sure the lid switch or door lock mechanism is functioning correctly. If the switch or lock is faulty, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
  4. Motor or motor control board: If the motor or motor control board is malfunctioning, it can prevent the drum from spinning. In this case, professional repair or replacement of the motor or control board may be necessary. It's advisable to contact Simpson customer support or a qualified appliance repair technician for further diagnosis and assistance.
Remember to refer to the user manual for your specific Simpson Aquarius 824 model for detailed instructions and diagrams. If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing any repairs yourself, it's recommended to seek professional help to ensure safe and proper repairs.

Bytecc 4K2K LPCM 7.1 Extractor

It appears that the Bytecc 4K2K LPCM 7.1 Extractor may not be fully compatible with the ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature on your ONN Roku 40 TV. Here are a few suggestions to potentially solve the issue:

1. Ensure that both your TV and the Bytecc 4K2K LPCM 7.1 Extractor support the ARC feature. Check the user manual for the specific HDMI port on your TV that supports ARC, as not all HDMI ports may have this feature.

2. Double-check your TV audio settings. Make sure the audio output is set to HDMI ARC, and if there's a setting for audio format, choose LPCM.

3. Try using a high-speed HDMI cable that supports Ethernet, as the ARC feature requires this type of cable.

4. Perform a factory reset on your Extractor and reconnect it to the HDMI ARC port on your TV.

TCL 55R617 Roku TV Screen Image is almost all white.

Considering you replaced all 3 boards, if you received working boards there isn't anything else that can cause this other than the panel itself, this set has the tcon board incorporated into the main board, other than the driver IC, that's part of the panel boards, chances are that's where the issue is at. This IC can be replaced however I'm doubtful you would have the equipment to do it, you would need to remove the panel, then isolate the connectors from the board to the panel as they will be destroyed by the heat needed to replace the IC, remove the IC with a heat gun, and install a new one with the same method, it's basically impossible to do unless you have advanced soldering skills and the correct equipment that most people would not own. We've changed a number of them in our repair center but we have the know how and equipment to do it, we charge around $100 to replace it. You could check around your area for a service center that does it, it's also possible it could be something in the panel itself however we've found in most cases on this model panel it's the reg ic

Onn 100012588 backlight problem?

Check for appropriate voltages going to the backlights from the PSU. If voltages are ok and still no backlights you may have to take the screen off and use a backlight tester to verify the individual strips integrity. This is tricky and you stand the risk of damaging the panel so be careful or get a professional to do it. If you are wondering why not purchase new backlights because everything else seems to be fine but the backlights are the only thing that's not functioning, that's because it is possible that the paper thin strip that connects all the individual backlight strips is shorting to the frame. We've had the same issue with this model and other brand/model that uses the same paper thin strip. We became aware that the strip was shorting to the frame by accident when we disassembled the screen an got to the backlights. We happened to be touching the connector strip and the metal frame and got a jolt and the backlights lit up momentarily when that happened. So we used a meter and verified there was a short. To rectify this situation (first verify that all your backlights are still good by using a backlight tester) then use a piece of electrical tape ( the length of the connector strip)and place the connector strip squarely an the tape providing extra insulation between the connector strip and the metal frame. If you don't have a backlight tester and you're just a do-it-yourselfer you can (since you are already at the connector strip) just proceed to use the electrical tape as described above and if you get backlights now then walla. You don't have to reassemble the screen to test if the backlights work. Just plug in TV and press the power button. The backlights will come on anyway. The pictures shows the connector strip placed on the black electrical tape. 20230501_123749-wr52eocwpv4qhz2euganqwte-d-0.jpg 20230501_123739-wr52eocwpv4qhz2euganqwte-d-1.jpg 20230501_123739-wr52eocwpv4qhz2euganqwte-d-2.jpg

I can't change Roku TV backlight brightness?

If you're unable to change the backlight brightness on your TCL Roku TV and the backlight remains on even when the LCD screen is turned off, there may be an issue with the TV's firmware or hardware. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Reset the TV: Sometimes resetting the TV to its default settings can fix issues like this. To reset your TCL Roku TV, go to Settings > System > Advanced System Settings > Factory Reset. Note that this will erase all your settings and preferences, so you'll need to set them up again.
  2. Check for updates: Make sure your TV's firmware is up to date. Go to Settings > System > System update and check for updates. If there's an update available, download and install it.
  3. Check the cables: Make sure all the cables connected to your TV are securely plugged in. If the backlight issue started after you took the TV apart, it's possible that a cable came loose or wasn't plugged in correctly.
  4. Contact TCL support: If none of these steps work, it's possible that there's a hardware issue with your TV. Contact TCL support for assistance or consider taking the TV to a repair shop.
