Remove interior door panel
On most cars, you have to find any hidden screws in the armrests and remove those. Then if you have electric windows/door locks lift up around the base of them with a flat head screwdriver to get them to pop out and be able to unplug them. When that is done, you usually can just lift at the bottom of the door panel and you will unpop the plastic inserts as you work around the door.

Nothing happens when i press the buttons
Moms and remote anything don't seem to mix. Had the same issue with my mother in law. Anyway, you should be able to find the model number on the back of the remote. There are many manual libraries online where you should be able to find a manual for your particular remote. My favorite site is
manualslib.com. Good Luck.
On my prestige alarm system, when I hold the lock button down it makes a chirp noise and locks the door, but when I press the unlock button it unlocks the doors with no sound and it use to make a sound?
Hi there.
On quite a few of the Prestige systems, a quick press (whether arming or disarming) will activate the locks and trigger the audible chirp......but holding the button for 2+ seconds bypasses the audible chirp.
Eliminating simple things first (without knowing which model alarm/remote you have), is it possible that the button is sticking down? The easy way to tell is that the locks operate immediately when the button is released. If you find you have released, but the locks seem slow, the sticking button is a distinct possibility.
There are also options to silence the chirps on some systems. If you do not have the specific alarm owners manual handy, I'd suggest a quick google search will prove helpful. If you do find the manual, saving the document, or even just the text on the page and pasting it into a blank word doc will be handy for future reference. A printed copy for the vehicle glove box wouldn't be unreasonable either.
Cheers,
Where is the valet button located
What model car? Most that I know of are located in the glove box. That allows you to LOCK the glove box with the key after setting valet button. IF in glovebox it may be in console where a lock is installed.
