Sanyo HT28745 28" TV Questions & Answers
My Sanyo HT28745 28" HDTV clicks but doesn't turn on
I have had a similar problem with my tv, it has something to do with the power supply.Try unplugging your tv from the AC outlet. While unplugged from the power supply hold down the - volume control and then plug the tv back in while holding down the - volume control. It should bring up the service screen. If the screen turns on and is blank then it may need to be brought in for repairs.
If the screen does turn on, either blank or with the service menu, turn off the tv and unplug it from the power supply again. With it still unplugged hold down the power button on the tv and then replug in the tv. continue to hold down the power button until the tv displays a video signal on screen.
How to send start signal to Sanyo HD tv?
You haven't enough information here. However, looking at your other posts I am assuming that you've got everything hooked up and can't get a signal. Most modern TVs need you to select from the menu a selection where you need to select the input type (either antenna or cable/dish). After making your selection there should be a scan option. This tunes the tuner to different frequencies and detects what channels have signals on them. So, you let it go through the scan and wait for it to finish. After it is finished, it should have programmed in the channels correctly. Then you can go back to default power on mode and hit the channel up button and watch the different channels. Good Luck.
Stuck on search for channels and I can't
Hello
Replace its Memory IC. This is a common fault to Sany Vizon. Memory IC; otherwise called as system memory, is a small IC, with 8 solder terminals. It can be located very near to the main system IC. Its number is the most important to note. It should be same as the present one, otherwise won't work. If you have some technical skill in electronics, you can do it by youreself. OK.
There's a picture on the screen, but it has lines
Hello
If the lines are there, and are across the screen at about an inch apart the whole screen from top to bottom, it is due to a slight increase in your TVs screen votage. It can be adjusted.
Open the back cover of your TV. There is an LOT [Line Output Transformer], can be seen directly soldered to the printed circuit boar of your TV. It is the largest component inside your TV, which have usually three wires emerging from it, and one thhick wire goes to the final anode of the picture tube, and will seem to be sticked to the top of the picture tube with the help of a rubber ******. Other two wires goes to the base card of the picture tube, a circuit board.
The said [LOT] has two controls integrated on it facing you as you open the TV. Among the top one is focus control, and the bottom one is screen control. Both of them are variable resistors, help to adjust focus and screen voltages respectively.
As set powered on, keeping the brightness, contrast and colour controls to its minimum, turn the screen control a little bit counterclockwise [not more, a little bit] will eleiminate the lines on your TV screen.
Take every precautions we have to, when working with an electrical equipment. Keep children away from you while you are working on it. Never allow them even to come beside you. Keep an adult beside you as a precautionary measure. Ok.
Wish you all sucess.
My tv shuts itself off after being turned on for a
sounds like you are having a blockage going to your horizontal section. it would help if you went to walmart and get a can of compressed air and spray in spurts on a part that seem to get hot from the touch. if the set remains on then this is the part that need replacing. i would strongly recommend a service tech.it could also be a short circuit. it would take a while for you to locate this problem. so buckle up because you will be in for a ride
