If you want to burn a disc your burning software withll recgonise the drive. Same with playback software if you are just wanting to watch a movie. I't should have software, or a trial version, of a burning program on it when purchased. Maybe playback software too. You could just alter the boot order in your BIOS menu. If you need to downgrade the BIOS follow Smart Tech Tips Easy Guide How to Downgrade ASUS Bios for all UEFI... Though the fuse pertains to Asus if you obtain the correct BIOS it works the same.
