Broan-NuTone (8663RP) Ceiling Fan Questions & Answers
My bathroom Broan exhast w/light
remove the cover and clean anything in the vent , check the fan for anything that could be touching it, as the back draft comes through the vent, something could just be touching the fan blade as this draft makes the blade turn slowly, which would create a ticking noise
My ceiling fan has a bad wobble.
You need to balance the blades by adding weight to one or more blades so they all weigh the same. Stores sell a kit with stick-on weights.
How do I purchase a grille for my fan. thanks e17814
If you know the make and model which should be somewhere on the unit. You can find online or in phone book a local dealer of that unit. Call or better yet go there with your broken part, and they can probably get for you what you need. If your unit is old possibly you would be better off replacing old unit with new one. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
Motor replacement
The NuTone replacement part number for the motor is the S97017705.

I cannot get the spring
I have the same fan.
Not easy to do, but squeeze the two spring ends together and slip in proper hole, one on each side of fan.
Once this is done, push cover straight up and into position.
The springs separate once the grill is raised and in doing so, they hold the grill in place.
A bit difficult to pull the grill back down to replace bulbs, but holding grill close by the springs will help.
The fan is not working
I believe this model has a fan that can be removed ... and is a plug in type. Remove it ... plug it into the wall outlet to see if it will run. If not ... replace it. Get a new one at your local NuTone dealer.

Turned on light switch and there was a click from
Hi,
Either there is a bad connection in the fan/light or the circuit braker tripped...there is no fuses or circuit breakers in the unit...
Pull the fan apart and check for power there and if there is non then check the circuit breaker..

Broan Fan surging and light flicking on and off
Hello,
If it is a Florescent light, it may just need replacement. However, if it is a filament light, if it flickers on/off when the fan is active, there could be a wiring problem. But I doubt that...lOL :) It may just need a replacement starter sometimes if its a florescent, the tiny battery like thing that hangs a bit out :)
