My media player want play dvd's
Maybe your screen resolution needs to be higher? What type of error
message are you getting? Are these dvd's that you were able to play
before? Most computers will have problems playing dvd's that
someone made for you on their computer. Try a store purchased dvd and
see if it plays. You can always reinstall windows media player at Microsoft's site below.http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-media-playerYou
can also try the VLC Player. It comes with drivers and codec. I've
seen it solve a lot of issues that Media Player could not fix.
Try using VLC as your player. Go to www.google.com and
in the search box type "download vlc" (without the quotes).
Look for the Video Lan download from site www.videolan.org/vlc Download
and install it. It downloads and installs in 3 minutes or so. It's
a very fast player, smooth and it can play just about any type of dvd formats
and media. It's totally FREE.
Need to reinstall windows xp
You would want to access the recovery partition. This can be accomplished by pressing the 'F10' or the 'R' key when the system boots. This should load the system recovery tool and you will see a dialog box for conducting a "nondestructive system recovery". If you wish to restore the machine to factory condition (this will not include anything you installed since the original purchase, so you may wish to backup any files you wish to save before conducting this process) you will want to select "next" and wait to be prompted for confirmation and select "yes". When the process is complete the system reboots. In the case where you seek to conduct a "destructive system recovery" you can select the 'advance' option from the initial dialog prompt in the system recovery and following the prompts as before. If you select this option it will delete the user partition of your hard drive, so unless you have experience formatting HD and installing Windows XP, I would suggest not choosing this option.
Need to find out the size of and type of graphic card in my rs2800
The type is Integrated you can go to your devices menu tick on the video card then tick on properties to find out in the device manager. Which can be found int he control panel menu. You can find out all that information in the device manager. It will tell you the specs not all of them but close enough. I personally do not like using Integrated cards on the board. It seems your curious about something with graphics not a mind reader but the question assumes for me that you are possibly wanting to upgrade the card. You cannot upgrade that card it is a board card. If you have a PCI or AGP slot available you can upgrade going that route make sure to use the proper video card for your viewing pleasure as well as a match for your computer..........John
My asus desktop pc shut
The most common reason for this is that there is an issue with your GPU/video card. Typically it's a problem with the driver. Try loading windows in safe mode and update the driver. If you are using the latest driver rollback the driver to a previous version and restart windows in normal mode.
To update the video driver you can go to http://drivers.downloadatoz.com/1799,everex-explora-rs2800-vga-video-driver/
Safe mode can be accessed by pressing F8 on the keyboard when the manufacturers logo appears on the screen when you restart. When windows is loaded, go to the control panel in the start menu, select System and Security and open the Device Manager. Select the display adaptor to find your GPU and right click, click properties select the driver tab in the properties menu and click the rollback driver button or and follow the prompts.
If updating or rolling back the driver doesn't work, it's most likely a GPU failure. If you are using the integrated video, you can purchase an AGP compatible video card and install it and disable the on-board video in the device manager. If you have a AGP video card installed, you can check to make sure the card is properly connected and seated securely in the AGP slot and if it's still not working properly, it may be time to find a replacement.

My everex computer has 448 mb of ram i would like
Actually your computer does have 512 RAM. The 64 MB discrepancy is what the graphics memory uses. 64 + 448 = 512, get it?
If you want it to show full 512 MB, you need to install a separate video card. Refer to your PC's manual and see if it has a separate AGP or PCI-E slot.
If it has then you can choose from the many available in the market.
You can choose between having a low end low cost or a high end one designed for gaming. Just choose what suits you best and remember that a higher power card requires proper cooling and higher wattage PSU (power supply).
Note that no matter how much RAM is installed, some portion of it will be used for graphical operations.
