Its a codec problem, basically how the xbox 360 converts the film to be able to play it on there. Is the xbox connected to the net, as it will automatically download the needed codecs

I had the same problem playing video from a data disc, code 69-8007045d. I made the exact same video file play by (1) adding .avi file extension to the file name (i.e. "videofile" renamed: "videofile.avi") and (2) putting it in a folder with the exact same name (videofile.avi). Same video file, didn't have to transcode to .wmv which degrades vid quality. Simple solution, but it worked. This is also the key to displaying a picture file as the icon instead of the generic "filmstrip" pic that displays by default. Just name the picture file the same name as the video and folder (i.e. "video.avi"). This has even worked with divx and xvid encoded videos when I've tried. My guess as to why this happens is that MS doesn't want to be legally or financially responsible for their hardware being used to play protected content, which is also why the status code 69-8007045d doesn't appear anywhere on their official website. It most likely means your xbox has alot of dust of the inside and the dust is slowing down the fansTo fix this either open the xbox and clean out all the dust or use a air compressor and use the air to get it out. I've trihe dustfirst and my xbox is running perfect, as for the second im not sure if the air compressor will take out all the dust.

there is something in your xbox 360 called a lens and that what makes the xbox read cds so try this go to a store like walmart or maby even a local store and find something called a laser lens cleaner this can clean a lot of stuff game consloles cd players dvd players and probaly more so over the years haveing a xbox 360 it collects dust on the lens and does not read good

This has happened to me with 2 consoles so I know this problem well... the sad thing is there is nothing you can do to fix it. The red ring of death means it's a hard drive error, Microsoft has made it so that only they can fix or replace harddrives. Call the Microsoft hotline and they will tell you where to bring it to get it fixed. For me they just gave me a brand new one even though the warranty had expired, but this was several years ago and I live in Hong Kong so it's probably different in the US.

If you hear sound but no picture then your graphic chip has got separated from your motherboard, this is not a simple fix. receommend you to look for a local repair shop that can handle game console repairs or send it to xbox.com

i got the same error status code: 69-807b0191 when i tried to play my videos on my new xbox from my computer through my router like i always did with my old xbox. idk if ur talking about actually putting a DVD in and the error came up or if ur in the same situation as me but if u r then go on ur computer to the video file that ur trying to play, then right click on it and click "Share..." and a new window will pop up, click the drop down menu and select "everyone (all users in this list)" ur xbox mac address should b one of the selections but just click on 'everyone'.. after that click the "share" button at the bottom and wait for it to take effect, after its done u can close the window and now go to ur xbox and it should play the file with no problems

All that hitting might actually be doing more harm than good. Every time a machine is bumped or moved while a game is in it you have a chance to damage the disc drive or the disc itself. It sounds like you have been doing this for a while, so I would imagine that your drive is not in the best shape. It is possible to send the device to Microsoft and have them install a new disk drive (which is most likely what you need), and they will also diagnose any potential problems. However, with the Xbox 360 Core being extremely technologically outdated by now, it might be more economical to invest in a new system (which can be found for under $200). It means what your trying to watch is not in a codec the xbox 360 can play, either the video or audio is unreadable by the xbox 360. I believe the xbox 360 plays divx that use the MP3 codec, otherwise you'll get the message your on about.

i think the three red light are over heating problems, if your console is un opened i think Microsoft are fixing them for free or you could find a repair shop and they could do the xclamp fix but Microsoft is the best bet.
