One gas cooktop does not light, no gas smell

Hello Liz. The most common reason for the problem you are experiencing is greasey dirt in the burner. Use a small brush, some fine wire and some degreaser to clean up the burner. Then let it dry overnight and try it again. If it still won't start, you will have to replace the ignitor.

Top center burner will not

Hello Richard, I can assist you. The most common problem for gas surface burners is that they get gas but don't light. This is generally caused by dirt or grease splatters on the burner itself. Residential-grade range/stove burners are round and have small holes around their perimeter to allow gas to flow out and create a round flame. The gas coming from these holes is often ignited by a small vertical row of holes on the side of the burner. If these vertical holes are clogged or obstructed, the gas can't ignite.

The solution is to clean the burners thoroughly. Use a toothpick to clear the small vertical holes, then allow the burner to dry completely and try lighting it again. If it doesn't light immediately, either repeat the procedure or consider calling a appliance repair tech.

Regarding the burnere with no click at all, Start by thoroughly cleaning it, then check the connections at the igniter. To check and see if the ignitor is faulty you can remove it and reinstall it on another burner where you know that the wiring is good. It is most likely whtn there is noclick at all that the ignitor is shot and will have to be replaced. Good luck with it.

How do i remove the

This is how you remove cooktop cover for other Thermador models. Please see if instruction is applicable.

Remove the brass ring nuts and the screw from each of the burners and pull off the knobs, then lift up the cooktop; no need to remove the three screws around the perimeter or even take out the box.

Hope this helps!

Burner problems with Thermador Range

Sounds to me like you have done everything correct. Maybe get a flashlight and look in there and see if some wires are hanging up but from my experience the hinges sometimes kinda get stuck so you have to wiggle the top side to side a little while pulling up at the same time. Go slowly and I'm sure if there is something that you missed, you will catch it before you break it.

yes you need a seperate line for the cooktop. whoever hooked your oven and cooktop up in the first place should have never hooked them to the same line to begin with. you are lucky you never had issues.

Thermador PRG366 2 of 6 ignitors won't spark

For intermittent sparking, intermittent ignition, one or two burners will not light problems. Make sure the igniter electrodes ceramic body is not cracked, make sure the finish is not flaking off from the inside of the burner ( remove the burner and shake it to see if any flakes fall out ). If all is ok,then its confirmed that spark module is faulty and needs replacement
The spark module is often under the cook top at the back on older slide in ranges and down beside the drawer behind the drawer rail near the back on standard ranges. For built in counter cook tops the spark module is under the cook top panel.

burner light IS ON: There are a few things to check for. Make sure the electrode ( the small metal piece that the spark comes off from ) is clean and the holes in the burner are clean, use a pin or paper clip to clean out the burner holes and NOT a tooth pick as these can break off and make things worse.
