Canon IXY 1000 Digital Camera - Page 3 Questions & Answers
My memory card is full.
Hi,
You do not need to have another memory card.
All is needed to transfer picture files in computer then delete stored images in memory card through format memory option in camera menu to take/ store fresh pictures.
Connect camera with computer via usb cord or take out memory card from camera and plug it into memory card reader (that is widely available in stores) and hook it in usb port of computer to transfer pictures.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.
Canon ixy digital 81Ois lens
Hello
The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the
probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.
Use
these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.
Firstly ,
try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.
Try holding the
shutter button while switching on the camera.
Look at the lens ,
and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then
try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).
Try gently
pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may
cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.
Another
way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and
then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to
not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and
down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the
camera is enough to get things going again.
Try hitting your
camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of
your hand.
Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair
center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to
replace the camera.
If it is still under warranty I would suggest
you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any
off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about
warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope
the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

I want english manual
This camera is called the IXY 1000 in some parts of the world, the SD900 in others.

Bought used ixy 10.0 mega pixels 3x15 zoom lens no
If you have the IXY 1000, you can download a manual
here (the US version is the SD900). The battery is a Canon proprietary battery, and there is a recharger available from Canon to charge the battery, The specific charger you need will depend on where you live -- different countries have different standard voltages and connector plugs.
Lens error restart camera
This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
Show/print date stamp on my photos
In order to imprint the date stamp on photos, the photo size (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard) must be set to Postcard, and in the recording menu the "Date Stamp" option must be set to Date or Date & Time.
Lens error
Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

CANONIXY/80;DISPLAYS LENS PROBLEM,RESTART CAMERA
I have had the same problem. The first time it happened I thought it was because the lens got broken when a heavy object fell over it. The lens was replaced at the service center for about $ 90.00, The second time it happened, I could not think of anything that would have caused it. I pushed the power button and the function at the same time for a few minutes, and voila...the lens came out. However, after a day or two, the same problem appeared. Had to take it the service center again for repair. This camera is very small and convenient but SUCKS! It failed to work when I was in Israel and MAchu Picchu!
Screen is Black
Oh sisters!
Give her this camera and buy another.
The screen has failed for a any number of reasons
If you cannot record an image[point the camera at something press the ****-did you get a picture?
Yes then it is a circuit board failure.
No then it is a CCD failure.
If it is fairly young a year or less - contact Canon for a replacement[or the place you got it from]
If it is moer than a year Contact Canon - it may be a failure they know about and will replace the camera free or offer a huge discount on another.
Canon 12x36 is ii stabilization is not working properly. Stabilization
tends to want to stray.
Hello, I think dust, smudges, or fingerprints on the lenses can affect image quality and stabilization performance. Use a soft, lint-free cloth or lens cleaning solution to gently clean the lenses of your binoculars. Make sure not to apply excessive pressure or use abrasive materials that could scratch the lens surface. Moreover, when using image-stabilized binoculars, it's important to hold them steadily and avoid sudden movements. Rest your elbows on a stable surface or use a tripod if possible to minimize hand tremors. Ensure that you're using proper stabilization techniques to maximize the effectiveness of the stabilization feature.
