Asus k8v-mx problem with nvidia 6200
Well, as you don't give too many details on your computer specifications, I can only guess as to some of your issues. You are, of course using a relatively old motherboard by computer standards. Having only a maximum of 2GB RAM (and you may not have even that) is just the first of many potential issues that can cause lagging and sluggish performance. You could have major fragmentation of your hard drive causing slow access to the files that you need. Your browser could be hampered by too many plug-ins, add-on toolbars, and the like. All these "conveniences" take up time and resources, even when not in use. Add to the fact that pictures and videos are increasing in resolution (and therefore size), you have situation you face. You say you are buying a new PC....good idea. You may be able to squeeze a little more from this one with some TLC. Get rid of all unnecessary add-ons and toolbars. Get the system tray as lean as possible....2 GB of RAM isn't much these days. Defragment your hard drive. Run a program like Malwarebytes to detect malware (free version download at Malwarebytes.com). All this can help release the stranglehold on your machine and may allow a little more life for it.
I don't have sound
hello,if your sound is not working on your system so please first you have to need to download the sound driver of ASUS K8V-MX form : drivers.freesoftz.com
Is it possible to use ID harddisk and SATA harddisk at the same time?
You can indeed mix IDE & SATA drives on a computer. If installing the OS (Operating System) to the IDE HD, you will only need to instruct the BIOS to boot the IDE HD drive first. If you decide to install an OS on & boot the SATA drive first; you will need to instruct the BIOS to boot the SATA drive first and may need to provide a driver for the SATA controller - if the OS install does not recognize the SATA drive. The driver should have been included on a disk or diskette with the controller (or on the motherboard driver disk if a built-in type controller). You should see a prompt asking "If you need to install a driver.... press F6" (or similar). Press the F6 key and supply the driver disk - and follow the prompts.Good luck!
I have a K8V-MX motherboard.
that happend to me aswell, coz the asus motherboard are like that.
1st unplug all the cabels from the mother board like, harddrive ID and Cd-room ID, leave just the power supply on and try to start Your computer if it doesnt work take off the cabels of USB or anything else that is connected in the motherboard and try to switch it on, if that doesnt work.
get another graphic card and try with it maybe u have prob with ur graphic card, and if that doesnt work take of the motherboard from ur case and try to switch it on like that coz ASUS MOTHERBOARD are really silly sometimes.
hope that Helps.
I have a k8m 800
I would suggest that after windows copy all the driver in to your hard drive, instead of choosing a new or fresh installation you choose the letter "R" for and then 1 for the directory. Windows will attempt to recondition or reinstalled missing system files.
I need drivers for me
You can go to
this page and select which operating system you will be using (Windows XP is the latest in the list) and the download links should appear right below it.. I'm not sure what's wrong but the page doesn't seem to be working right now (or it could be MY internet connection).
Try it out & if it does not load correctly, just keep the link handy & try at a later time.
My audio driver is not
try use device manager on control panel. see if audio device have question mark. if u find question mark, u just need to insert motherboard driver, then right click the question mark and choose update driver. choose recommended action and click next, then your driver will automatically installed. if your driver from your motherboard driver is damage or corrupt, try download your driver in this site:

1. choose your operating system (it will automatically load new page)
