Good Morning, I have a Lenovo T-60 laptop. The

It really depends on what kind of cold you're talking about. External temperature cool enough to produce condensation in the system can really mess your system up. Even to the point of destroying it. It's always good to keep your system above freezing and even above the dewpoint of where ever you're located. If you're talking about cold being just starting the computer from any temperature from an "off" power mode to "on" then you could have a video issue. You can check your Event Viewer when it finally powers up to get more info on what caused the problem.

Error 2100 HDD0 Hard Disc drive initialization error (1)

Interesting.

I have only encountered this issue since using Audlogics software to remove duplicate files on my machine.

Nothing against Audlogics, I have used it before to remove duplicate images or mp3s without any problems.

This time I (maybe foolishly) scanned the entire machine and removed every duplicate file with every extension (whilst keeping an original)

Since then my machine crashes, especially when using Chrome, and gives this error upon restart. It will eventually restart.

It works fine in safe mode and does not crash at all.

I am about to go back in and try it in normal mode and run various software to see which one causes the crashes.

I'm confident that the hard drive is still fine though.

I have installed ubuntu on lenovo laptop when i am trying to install windows from boot menu its stil showing the ubuntu

When the pc boots up look in the lower leeft and right corners to see which key will allow you to got to boot device order and then after you find it out press it on boot several times until it shows them all then use arrows and enter to select your device. Keep in mind Ubuntu relies on ext2 filesystem instead of NTFS file system. Windows xp may not work so use a 7 or 8 disk. You will most likely have to format your HDD to NTFS.

My Lenovo T60's Screen turns

Welcome to Fixya

The backlight must have turned Off. Look at the F keys ( F1, F2 etc) that has picture of the LCD. Press Fn + the key that has the LCD picture to turn on the backlight. If nothing happens, try to use external monitor. If you see the display using the external monitor then the problem is the LCD already.

My Lenovo T60 disk tray

The following CAN be done with the system running...:

Almost all drives have a small access hole on the front cover.

Take a small paperclip, straighten it and insert it into the hole carefully and straight, pressing in carefully and firmly.

The drive should release and pop open slightly. open the drive the rest of the way by hand and see if the disk is stuck (if any inside).

Try closing the drive and operating it again by button. If it fails to open, the drive will need to be replaced. Check with the system manufacturer for a replacement drive and instruction for replacement or take it to an authorized repair center.

When I start my Lenovo

You get this message if your Laptop (CMOS/configuration) Date is really outdated and wrong: check and change your Laptop Configuration setting for Date and Time. Also check your Windows Date/Time.
If the date/time you enter is not maintained properly, especially after you switch off the laptop, then you have a bad backup CMOS battery that needs to be replaced.

Hope it helps.

I want to repeat my question again as follow: I

Try going into the BIOS of the laptop, usually by hitting the ThinkVantage button on startup, and checking the date and time settings to match those of your cellphones. Usually this happens when the date on the BIOS doesn't match the actual date.

Hi i have a lenovo

you need to install then restart the laptop after each install. If you have no wireless when it restarts you need to fully uninstall the drivers you just used. I know its a pain doing this, but its the only way you will be able to correctly install the drivers

to correctly identify the one you need to download click here Download Now (HTTP) and install this program.

scousemartin_0.gif

your network controller with no drivers installed will be shown in red, if you have any of the other drivers still installed it may show up as different make , you need to make sure all drivers that you installed are removed ,then run the program.

If you have any problems please reply here

Whenever I start up my Lenovo T60 it beeps twice

You have to take it apart and clean it. Remove all the screws from the bottom of the laptop. Be careful with the hinges of the screen. Remember to have silica paste to change the old one between the CPU and the cooler. And be careful on removing the old pasta from the CPU. You can damage the CPU is you manage it wrong.
Since is not a LED panel it is much safer to take it to a specialized workshop for the cleaning. It shouldn't cost too much.
If you have further questions or need further assistance, just leave a comment. Thank you for using FixYa. Cheers
