I use the combination of pressing <Ctrl>+<Fn>+<Print Screen> to copy the screen capture to the clipboard. The Ctrl and Fn keys are adjacent in the lower left hand corner of the keyboard (just left of the Windows key). The Print Screen button is the key to the farthest to the right on the top-most row of keys (look for the blue paper + printer icon). Next open Paint. (Start > Accessories > Paint). Then choose Paste from the left hand side of the ribbon. (There is a down arrow which gives Paste or Paste From options. Just use the Paste.) Now crop the screen capture if desired and then click on File > Print > Print. Then select your printer and press Print. Nearly any image editor will work after the screen capture is in the clipboard. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

That should be the serial key of that Windows sticker on the back of your laptop. I think they may have even changed the name of it from "serial key" to "recovery key".

Hi It sounds as if the hard drive in your machine has lost the ability to boot the machine up. If you can boot from a bootable CD/DVD or bootable USB drive if these options are available from the boot menu, then this confirms the hard drive has problems. Try using the "Lenovo button" just to the right of the Power button to see if you can return the computer to previous settings the worked. Be wary though as choosing the "restore to factory settings" option will lose all the data on the hard drive, and should only be used if your data is backed up properly, or in utter desperation.

on some of the older models there is a manual switch on the side of the laptop that needs to be turned on for the wireless radio in the laptop to function. others its one of the FN keys.

Hi If you mean your BIOS password you will need to remove the battery and then remove the case from your laptop to access the main board, there will be a battery on there that holds the setting when powered off, remove this leave out for 2 mins replace and then put back together and power up, your BIOS should now have no password so you can access the settings again.
