LG RZ32LZ55 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Poor picture
its a mainboard issue .It can be fixed easily by replacing the mainboard or the hard way by fixing the excact one (the second option requires advanced electronics and expertise
GOT SOUND BUT BLACK PICTURE
try toggling the user brightness controls, if this didn't work, the inverter board is most probably the culprit, this is the part that supply high voltage to the light that illuminates the backdrop of LCD screens, consult a qualified tech to repair or replace this particular part. ;-)
I have connected my VHD
The tv is capable of displaying 720p and 1080i HD pictures. But that box was designed to accept for use only HDCP capable connectors - the DVI from your tv isn't one so the image is automatically downgraded to SD wide.
To get an HD image you will have to use the analogue RCA Component connectors plus the audio ones.
Problem with the LG RZ32LZ55 32 in. HDTV-Ready LCD
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

Tries unplug, replug both tv and cables or satalites boxes an hour later.Tv should reset it self back to factory, pay boxes upgrade it softwares. The tv should work, back to normal. Not, take another tv test that incomming brocasting signal cable. If the incomming brocasting signal is good.Than the tv Tuner board is dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner board for the replacement.
How do you connect the Virgin VHD box to LG RZ32LZ55
All you need is an hdmi-dvi adapter. You will also need a component audio lead to plug into the mini(3.5) jack socket on the tv as dvi does not carry sound. You will need to initially use the scart to set up your tv for hdmi as the menu can only be seen via the scart until you set it up.
Connect tv to cable box with hdmi lead
You will need an HDMI to DVI cable which are available in the shops, even ASDA has one but I don't know how good it is. Or you can buy an adapter that will plug into one of the ends of the HDMI cable and then plug into the DVI socket at the back of the TV. The DVI input is video only so you will need audio leads for sound. These will connect from the output of your source, say, blue ray or sky HD (Left and right audio sockets ) to the audio L/R at the back left of the TV (on the block next to the three component video connections and s-video connections)
Connecting to HD TV
This TV has no HDMI input socket. It Has a DVI input socket. Therefore you will require an HDMI to DVI converter adapter or an HDMI to DVI cable. The DVI is video only so you will require audio cables from your Sky box (Audio L and R ) which will connect to the back left of your TV (Audio L/R sockets next to the s-video and component video connectors)

Samsung 42' ed tv mod. sp-p4251 sound going out
Most likely there are some components in the sound processor or sound output board that have become thermo sensitive. The service rep would replace these boards as necessary.
If there is excessive heat there may be a fan that has failed. The service rep will know if this is the case when he opens the set. He would also have the temperature specs to be able to verify if the operating temperature is excessive or not. If there has been any overheating, chances are that there is heat damage.

No picture but sound is still there
The main display driver board, part of the driver board power supply, and or the lamp supply, or the lamps themselves could have a problem. In some cases the LCD panel itself may have a failure.
The best solution is to take the set to an authorized service rep who has spare working boards and modules to try. This way he will be able to tell you exactly what is involved to service the set.
If the set is out of warranty it will be expensive to service.

Will not power up and flashing red led
The power supply board may have failed, and or there is another board that has a short and must also be replaced. The boards are swapped out with known working boards to find out the ones that have failed.
These sets are not supported for service at the component level. The manufactures normally do not sell copies of detailed schematic diagrams for component level troubleshooting.
You can end up spending many hours trying to find failed components even if you were able to determine exactly the failed boards to start with. Then if you do find anything, chances are that you will not be able to purchase the parts unless they are of generic types.
I don't service this particular model, but they are very similar as far as the process of finding defective boards is concerned.
We swap out the bad boards using the process if elimination, then follow the set up procedures from the factory instructions that we have, and using their recommended calibration instruments.
What I can also tell you is that after the set is more than a year or two old, sometimes the replacement boards are no longer available. If the set is under warranty the customer gets a new set of the same or the closest possible model in the same brand name.
When out of warranty, if replacement boards are available the service cost is very expensive. Most of the time it is better to buy a new set when there is failure. If the set is more than a few years old there is a chance it will fail again.
