Will not boot

Check your power supply first. If it is locked up, may have to remove power (battery), then re-install. This will usually restore your factory default settings. If it's still dead and you are sure your battery isn't dead, I would dig a little deeper. Might be a fuse hidden inside the box. Remember, a computer is just a box full of parts and there isn't anything that can't be fixed. Most of them become obsolete long before they break. .... And ..... If they do break, it will most likely happen within the first 30 minutes, days, or weeks. Therefore, extended warranties, like service contracts are a waste.

Your best bet is to use www.unlockbiosrecovery.com and for $20 they will supply you with a HP bios master password for your laptop that will clear any set bios password and give you full access to you bios again. Did I mention that they guarantee the master password they supply to work or they refund your money. They service most laptops from Dell, HP, Compaq, Acer, Advent, Sony, Samsung, Fujitsu and more.

Is there a reset button on this? It won't boot

No reset button but if it is software related you can try booting with the recovery cd in the drive. If this does not work then it is likely to be a hardware issue. Hope this helps.

Wont boot up

It sounds like your windows is crashing on boot. This can be caused my many different things. First thing to try is a windows operating disk. Put the CD/DVD in your drive then try turning it on. If you still have the recovery or system disk that came with the laptop this will work as well. Hope this helps.
