I have dell latitude d610. when turned on screen shows "manufacturing mode level 67" & system halts
Hi, I have done some research on this issue, I would suggest giving the following a try:
Plug the charger in.
On start up keep tapping either F1, F2, F10,(Be Aware that some manufacturers use F10 for system recovery!) Esc, or Del, to enter the BIOS set-up. Look for "Factory Default" or similar, and return the settings to default. Save settings and exit.
Unplug, remove the battery and press the power button for 10 seconds.
Restart.
Touch pad driver.
Uninstall the driver from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find the touch pad and reinstall the drive automatically. If this doesn't work, check the touch pad connection, they will sometimes work loose ar get a little dirt/corrosion build up. The connection is under the keyboard. At this point, if it's still not working, then it has failed and will need replaced.
SD chip boot
You can install programs but you can't "boot" a laptop from an SD card. There is no such setting in BIOS.
Make google my home page
Depending on which internet browser you're using, typically you want to go to the options or preferences, find the TAB or Menu item that says "Set my Home page" there should be a text box somewhere around there where you can type in "http://www.google.com/" (without quotes) and then hit ok. I hope this helps!
