Remove bios poweron password hp

There is a hardware work around to get past the BIOS password. All you need to do is to remove and put back the CMOS battery inside the computer. This will fix the issue.

Power-on password i need it

There is no universal password. BIOS passwords are protected and generally cannot be cracked. Some manufactures will fix the password if you send the system to them with a proof of purchase.
You can check my tip and see if one of the techniques might work for you.

When the power charger is

You need to make sure your power adapter is providing enough power to both run the laptop & charge the battery. A very good way to do this is to compare your laptop voltage & ampere requirements (written on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop) with the voltage & ampere ratings of the power adapter. Voltages should be the same, or the power adapter's voltage about up to 0.5 volts more than the laptop's voltage rating. Amperage of the power adapter should be at least equal to or greater than the laptop's rating. It should never be less than the laptop's rating, or else the power adapter will be providing insufficient amperes to charge the battery. Of course, the power adapter's nominal amperage might be ok, but it degraded on usage. You can verify this by testing using a good or new power adapter.

My laptop power adapter ok but laptop not on

Ok, you MUST prove where fault is, IF you are sure, that the AC unit is OK, and one can ONLY do that with a meter or empirically, IE: BY using it and the device it is used on works.
In any event remove the laptops battery. Now plug in the AC unit, Does it work.
If YES you have a faulty battery, obtain a new one.
If NO. Then you have an internal fault with your laptop, that is stopping it from working. It may be the HDD, the DVD, it maybe the RAM, it maybe the internal power supply, problem. One simply has to troubleshoot to isolate and then repair, (usually replace the faulty part.) sometimes it is the Motherboard itself, which usually is not economically recoverable.
To assist you in this endeavor I have included a link for your service and maintenance and repair manual. Inside this manual are all pictorial steps to troubleshoot and repair your laptop.

Sir,it's an unusual problem..isometimes my lappy

The troubleshooting section for your system is here:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SupportTaskIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=1839143&taskId=110
The number of light flashes will narrow the defect to a section, for example, 4 flashes is video.

Software problems can be varied and multiple.

The hardware parts easiest for an individual to fix are RAM, Battery and Hard-drive. If you have a small screwdriver, and are willing, you may solve a hardware problem through elimination.

1.) Hard reset: Unplug the AC, remove the battery, press the power button for about 45 seconds to drain any residual charge. leave out the battery, plug in the AC and attempt to start. Make note of any error messages or differences. If the battery were shorted, this would solve the problem.
[If you have an internet connection , and another working PC, videos for repairing your HP model are available here]
http://h20464.www2.hp.com/resultsCSR.htm?prodSeriesId=1839143&MEID=D20132AC-5C2B-424F-93E0-91812FB94472

2.) if the problem persists: With the battery removed and the AC disconnected: Remove the RAM cover. Carefully remove the first RAM chip, set aside. Plug in AC and see if the system is okay now. If not, turn off and unplug, remove other RAM module, and replace with the first. Start.
This may have reduced your problem to a RAM module.
If not, and the system still is not showing the setup screen: try the hard-drive.
3.) With battery removed and AV disconnected: Using small screwdriver, remove the small screw(s)s holding the hard-drive cover (the cover will have an icon showing multiple stacked disks). with the cover removed, the hard-drive will be fastened with 2 or 3 screws, depending on model. Carefully pull out the HD and place in a safe location. With the AC reconnected, power the system and note any differences. Are you consistently getting the startup screen? Can you enter Setup?

Your problem description suggests the startup has been erratic and unpredictable. This is often power or memory. If you can consistently get past the startup screen, but it hangs when loading the operating system, this is likely a problem with the HD or the software setup. If you have a spare laptop HD, you can swap and install your bare operating system on this HD to eliminate the HD and Operating System as the problem.

If your Compaq as is it was from the factory, it has a restore partition to restore the operating system to the factory setup. If you can get the system started, you can restore individual parts of your system. otherwise, you may have to do a complete restore (F11 on Startup).

Troubleshooting is a logical process of elimination, looking for the simplest (and hopefully least expensive) solution first.

I have repaired many HP and Compaq systems. The HP site is very helpful with troubleshooting suggestions and even videos. If you have the patience, a few tools, another working PC and an Internet connection, you can solve 95% of PC problems.

Good luck. If you find this helpful, please accept this as a solution.

HP Laptop(Compaq nx6310) Lights are blinking

You did not specify if you are talking about the lights below the screen or the ones at the front of the palm rest.
Have a look at pages 1-2 to 1-5 in the HP support manual (link).
The description might help you.

It seems to me that you are talking about the battery light (which is amber when the battery is charging) and the light for the drive (which is blinking when the hard drive or optical (CD/DVD) drive is in use.)

Just as a side note: if your hard drive light is constantly blinking, although the CD/DVD drive is empty AND you are not saving or accessing data - this could be a caused by not having enough RAM installed. In this case, the excessive memory has to be written to your hard drive, which could result in excessive blinking of that light.

Hp pavilion nx6310 will turn on but havter two min

Hi ,

First we need to check if is a hardware or a software issue and to do that for( XP) :
turn the computer off disconenct any esternal devices along with the cable for the internet then once it is done turn the computer off and then start taping f10 key repeatedly until you get a black screen that is a black page This is a BIOS that has tabs like main aadvance ets, so let the compute on for time and check if it restarts. If the computer restarts it means that there is an issue with a hardware not responding

Turn the computer off completely ,disconnect any external devices connected to the computer along with the cable for the internet .Then press and hold the power button on the front panel of the computer tower and then hold it for atleast 30 seconds.Turn the computer on and check what happens.
Turn the computer off and then as soon as you turn the computer on tap the f8 key repeatedly until you get a black screen that says advance boot menu options ,select the option that says safe mode and hit the enter key .Select the operating system if you have xp or else you need to wait for the page wherein you can put in the password. If it is sucesful then it will take you to the desktop so you need to restore the computer to an earlier time when the computer was working fine.Click on start?all programs ?accessories?system tools and then system restore .(in case of vista simply type system restore in the search bar and hit enter). Once the resotre page opens up select restore my computer to an earlier time and click next. You will get a calander whic has different dates so select a date when you think that the computer was working fine. The date that you select should be in bold.Click on nest next to exit from the wizard and then the computer will restore and then will restart which wil take you to the normal mode.If the restore is succesful then it will take you to the desktop .
If safe mode does not work try with last known good configuration which takes the computer to the date when the computer was working fine.If non of the options work then you can go to the recovery page to do this instead of the f8 key tap the f11 key until you get the system recovery page then click on next to get to a page that says advance option ,need to click on that and then select system restore .This is for xp in vista its the same key (f11) but you get a recovery manager page then you will have to select advance option then system restore .
If these options does not work then recovery needs to be done wherein the computer needs to be formated.
