Go to the hp website and download the latest drivers for the bluetooth

if this doesnt work, check that the bluetooth device is diplayed in the device manager:

start>my computer > right click >properties > device manager.....under network controllers... or somewhere there....

lastly check that the bluetooth button is pressed on the laptop.

You will need to have this resoldered on the motherboard itself

If you turn on the computer and the lights come on and the fans start but you see no picture, try turning up your volume to listen for the windows startup sound. If it is removable, try reinserting it. Also, look for any dirt that may be blocking the connections.

Check follow the Steps:
• Go to Start>
• Control panel>
• Double click on "System" Icon> (it shows the System Properties-window)
• Select "Hardware" Tab>
• Select "Device Manager" Tab> (it shows the Device Manager Window)
• Select "Sound, video and game controllers">
• Expand "+" symbol> (check the audio Codec's, Legacy Audio Drivers and others are not in Questioned Mark (?) symbol with yellow color. If there need to install the drivers).

you can get all the drivers you need for your pc from this link( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=3437575&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit.y=1&submit.x=5&lang=en&cc=us). make sure you choose the correct operating system your computer is running on and click ok. all the available drivers will be shown, choose the bluetooth driver.

during the boot up process for a short time you will see press a certain key to enter set up press that key to enter BIOS scroll to PnP/PCI configurations the default is disabled select enabled to reset configuration if you have installed a new add on and it has caused a serious conflict that the operating system can not boot

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps don

What is happening to your laptop is the power line connecting a few rows of pixels are failing so only partial colors are showing up causing the vertical lines. Usually screen replacement is the only answer to fix it. You can usually find replacement LCD on Ebay.

NC6120remove the the cmos battery under the keyboard for 5 minutes i wait like 10 or 15. that will reset your cmos removing any cmos passwords its a simple fix. just remove the keyboard screws from the bottom and push down the tabs on the top of the keyboard and lift to remove. becarefull not to pull on the cable connecting the keyboard to the mother board to hard of a tug and you can brake the lever thing holding it down and then your keyboard might not work. just be patient and never force anything it should all come lose easy. all i used was a small sized flat head screw driver. if you need more help message me and i will make a video of how to do it.

1st please check whether the PC is working only with the battery or not.
If it does then we can be sure that the adapter is at fault
thereby we have to check whether the adapter brick is getting warm or not
if not, then there is no other way than replacing the adapter
but if it is warm, then we might have to change the chord of the adapter

you'll have to provide more details about the problem. From what little you've said, I suppose your laptop wont turn on both when trying it on battery and on power cord. If this is the case, you may be facing the well known Maxim chip problem. he nc6xxx series are known to have these problems with the Maxim chip and the power plug on the motherboard. You can find the Maxim chip and power plug resolder instructions here.

This is a well known problem with the NC6xxx series. The problem is twofold: you'll need to resolder the power plug that's on the motherboard, and you'll need to resolder the Maxim chip. You can get the Maxim chip repair instructions here and fix your laptop in less than an hour. Dont buy a "new" motherboard because chances are that one too suffers from the Maxim problem.

Is your hard drive a Hitachi/IBM? If yes, Compaqs are known for their notorious hatered toward IBM/Hitachi hard drives. It's a compatibility issue over a quarrel Compaq had with Hitachi during the late 1990es. Or you may really be dealing with a dying hard drive. In either case, you'll have to get a new hard drive... or a used one but DO NOT GET A HITACHI. Get a Seagate or Samsung. It would be best if you transfer all your critical data off the hard drive and dont use your computer untill you get a replacement hard drive.
