Dell Inspiron 1501 AC Adapter error message
The Dell 1501 ac adapter (possibly other Dell’s as well) has
been known to be problematic because of its lack of a plug to jack secure
fit. You will notice that the plug can
all too easily be pulled from the jack, as opposed to other systems where the
plug fits more securely onto the jack.
The plug and jack combination is poorly designed so that over time, the
plug will come unseated depending on how much movement the machine is subjected
to. This will result in power error
messages or outright power-up failure. So before assuming you have a faulty
adapter, make sure that it is not just a loose plug that is causing the
problem. If you look inside the jack,
you will notice that there is a 3mm region of non-conductive material nearest
the surface of the jack. Use a strip of standard electrical tape 3mm wide and
long enough and wrap it around the base of the plug (you may need more than one
layer of tape to get a good fit). I
have used this method to secure my plug and it has served me well. If the tape
comes undone over time, just simply replace it. A more “elegant” method would be to use an “O” ring of the
appropriate size (about 6mm) around the base of the plug in lieu of the tape.

If you mean that as soon as you power on you computer it Beeps and won't boot, that usually means a problem with the memory modules.
I can't turn the fn key off
The Fn key (also known as the Function key) is a feature found on most laptop computers. The Fn key allows keys on a laptop computer's keyboard to serve more than one function, a clever way of increasing the utility of the keyboard when space is limited. Dell laptops make good use of the Fn key, and if you own a Dell laptop, you should be aware of where the key is and how to use it. Open your laptop and turn it on. Then locate the Fn key. It is located on the lower left side of the keyboard, next to the Ctrl key. Press and release the Fn key. Now examine the keyboard carefully. You'll notice that many of the keys have icons or letters and numbers printed in blue upon them. These keys and functions are operated when the Fn key is enabled, as you've just done. Test it out by looking at the lower right side of the keyboard. You'll see two keys with small blue "sun" icons. These control the brightness of the screen. Press the lower one several times and you'll see the screen darken. Press the upper one. The screen brightens. Press and release the Fn key again. Now try using the brightness keys. The screen brightness will not change. You've turned off the Fn key.

Check and reseat ALL cables, when you are sure it's not a cable issue Contact your ISP and have them verify the signal, it may be outside equipment, have a ISP tech come and analize the signal. If it's outside, it's beyond your control and it will drive you nuts! It's happened to me.

Non dell battery for dell inspiron 1515 not charging
If your laptop computer runs normally on the
ac adapter, but the battery won't charge, please try the following troubleshooting steps:1) Remove the battery from the system.2) Look at the connectors in the bay and on the battery for signs of physical damage.3) Check the battery charge by pressing the status button or image on the battery near the LED's. Note: The lights indicate the current amount of charge on the battery. If all the LED's come on when you press on the butto, the battery is fully charged. If fewer lights are lit, then the battery is partially charged. If any lights flashm or blinkm there could be a problem with the battery.4) Reinsert the battery; puch until it locks into place and the latch snaps back to the locked position.
Dell inspiron will not connect to any internet
Sounds like perhaps you have a winsock error.

No image 0n screen
Do a Cold-Start, remove any media, DVDs, CDs, USBs, printer cables, etc, unplug, remove battery, leave out during this process, plug in push on/off button, immediately start tapping ctrl+F-11 repeatedly until you get a beep or open the restor/recovery. restore to a date before this issue. You say "Boot up computer", does it boot?, HDD led blinks?, sound? Is there a "ghost image" in monitor under a very bright light? Has the laptop been damaged, dropped, jarred........etc? There is a tiny switch the turns the monitor on and off when you open and close the lid. It can get stuck. respod to this post for further assistance.
