Runs but not getting hot

check the gas supply pressure. if not within required pressure consult the gas company. if there is no problem with gas pressure get to the back of the unit to check the fuse for the gas solenoid valve that controls the flow of the gas. if solenoid valve is faulty, replace it with a good one . . if after installing a new solenoid valve unit still does not kick in , check the igniter . replace with a good one if it is broken , the unit should produce heat now .thanks.

Gas dryer does not dry in "timed Dry" setting

In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet. Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity. A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats. Read more :http://www.ehow.com/info_12203962_check-dryer-thermistor.html

Why won't my gas dryer heat?

Hi, If your flame comes on for a few seconds & goes away, replace your solenoids. ($3.00) If your flame doesn't come on at all, it could be the fuse(unsure of cost) Check the neg/pos lead with an OHM meter(multi meter), to see if there is continuity. Let us know if this helps!

Gas Dryer Heat wont stay on.

Must be something in the blower section. You need to get into the dryer and clean it up. Air restrictions cause overheat condition. When the temp gets so high the limits shut it down. Lots of videos on you tube that show how to get into. You can google gas dryer dan webster or roper dryer no heat dan webster and I have some videos posted how to get into these. My gas dryer will not blow air

THis could be caused by a restriction in the blower housing, lint chute ,or exhaust. If you can not hear the fan running the bnlower wheel could have brohen or come off the shaft. You can access this by removing the rear panel and renoving the 4 screws in the lint chute.

Gas dryer no heat

check your sensors, they are in line with the power, basically sensors are switches that are turned on, if something out of the ordinary happens like over heating the sensor like a switch shuts off, it interrupts the power to the energize parts on the dryer and it wont work till the sensor is replaced, sensors have two wires in and out, you should get voltage on each lead to ground with a meter, if not the sensor is broke

Whirlpool gas dryer # LGB 6300 no heat

There are 3 parts that would cause the no heat problem. It is probably just one that is the problem, but the other 2 will soon follow. You will need to replace the "coil kit", the "flame sensor" and the "igniter".Here is the coil kit. Here is the flame sensor. Here is the igniter. After replacing the 3 parts you will get years of service from your dryer.

How do I remove a stain on the outside surface

try goof off if that doesn't work by a bottle of appliance touch paint and cover it. The paint can be expensive but it comes in a little bottle like white out or rattle can and a little goes a long way. If your appliance is white I would recommend using some fine grain sand paper to get the blue off first then covering it with paint.

go to this link for diagram,, the part your looking for is part 70 and 71 , they are located on the gas valve itself, and the retaining bracket is just a cap that holds the coils in place and is easily removed, unplug the coils and slide them off, and slide the new ones on,, One has 2 prongs and the other 3 ,,, very easy job to complete , if you have any questions, feel free to reply to this feed and I'll help you more http://www.appliancepartspros.com/bd_whirpool_gas_dryer_parts.aspx

Dryer will not stay on

If you are having dryer problems and you cannot even get the thing to start, then you might want to start going through this check list of possibilities. There are a number of things that can cause your dryer to not run.

A couple of the most common problems are the thermal fuse has blown or the door switch is not operating properly. On many dryers if the thermal fuse blows, the dryer will not run at all. This fuse can be checked with an ohm meter. It should show continuity if it is okay. If there is no continuity then you need to replace it and also find out what else failed. This is a safety device that usually blows because something else allowed the dryer to get too hot. It is usually located in the back of the dryer, on the blower housing. Some are oval in shape and others are rectangular, usually with two wires attached.

A defective door switch or a bent door switch lever can also cause you to have problems. If the lever is broken or bent it will not activate the switch. If the switch is broken, this also will not allow the dryer to be started.

The push (or turn) to start switch can go bad, but is unlikely. To check this, hold it in or turn it and then check to make sure you have continuity with an ohm meter.

If the dryer starts and then stops when the switch is released check the control board or the ?even heat? control on some model dryers. Some dryers have a belt break switch that can fail or your belt may be way loose or broken.

Check for burn marks or burnt wires at the terminal block on your dryer, poor connections can cause all kinds of problems. Also poor connections can cause fires.

A bad power cord also falls into this same category.

Of course, always check that you have the proper voltage to the outlet that you are plugging into.
