Airlink (AWLC3025) Wireless Adapter Questions & Answers
Installing a 32 bit air link wireless cardbus adapter AWL C3025
First have you tested a wired computer to assure all but the wireless section is configured correctly?
Second have you tested a wireless unencrypted connection to assure it works?
When choosing an encryption strategy did you assure the router and adapter supported the same choice. Generally there is WEP and WPA -- most people prefer WPA now however both the adapter and the router must support it to make it a viable choice.
To provide further assistance please check the model number of the router and provide either the manufacturer and model for the wireless adapter or the computer with a built-in wireless adapter you are attempting to connect.

Airlink adapter and att router access problems
Make sure you have the most up to date drivers for both your mini usb adapter and your router.
The 64 bit version of windows 7 may not have the right driver for your equipment.
Will get better with time.
Good luck.

Open nat type
I take this is your type of network you have. NAT (Network Address Translation) only job is make all the IP's of you LAN to be able to use the one IP From the ISP. For example, you can have 3 Pc's connected to router (192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.3) with only one connection to ISP, and address like 67.123.43.200 (Address change upon ISP location).
In order to the game communicate between PC ans Internet have to configure Ports to connect to. Thanks to UPNP (Universall Plug and Play) this configuration is made automatically between the PC and the Router and simplifies those configurations.
Things to check:
The router have UPNP and is on.
There's a Firewall interfering with the game.

Forgot password
router passwords are usually on the bottom of the router. sometimes it is the serial number. if that doesn't help, then if your router is unlocked, you can log into it and find the wifi password in the wireless security section. if your router was supplied by your internet provider, they will often have a copy of it, or can get it for you.

How secure my network
When you first setup your wireless router you should change the login password and then the wireless configuration, setup WAP or WAP2 encryption (WAP2 is the strongest encryption) and change the SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
For further wireless protection enable MAC address filtering. The MAC address of the wireless card is entered in the router MAC address filter table, which allows only the wireless card with this MAC address to connect to the router.
Also if your router has a firewall then you should enable this feature.
The wireless card on the computer needs to be configured with the wireless router's settings. The LAN cable can be removed and the computer communicates wirelessly with the router.
All the computers on your network should have anti-virus program installed and firewall enabled.

I forgot my userid and password
Do a factory reset, Some routers require the power to be plugged in OR
unplugged when doing
the reset. Try each way and hold the reset for a good 10 to 20 seconds.
then log on to the router with the default username and password
The default username and password may actually be admin for both.

Wireless connection problem
Hello There, are there any wireless computers that detects your router? If there is, most of the laptop computers has a built-in on/off (toggle) switch on the side to enable or disable the wireless card on your computer. Make sure it is "ON" then check if it will detect the wireless connection.
If it is a desktop, try to reboot the computer then check again. If none of the computers can detect your router, make sure that the wireless light on the router is lit up. You may also try changing the channel on the router.

Airlink router
Albert the unfortunate problem with cable modems is the equipment serial number. when your modem is deactivated by the company the serial number becomes locked in other words they view the modem as a loss and the only way to re-activate it is by a different user not your account. I know it is a stupid way of doing things but they think it will stop cable theft.. Goofy huh.. Anyway have a great day.. Be mucho blessed... mark
