What is the highest and long distance you can put the heat exhaust external vent.

Height and length are not a major concern. Clear, unobstructed flow of hot air from the dryer is the important thing. I do not design clothes dryers but I generally feel that you could vent your dryer through your roof ( 10 - 15 feet ) and the length is less important a factor. Important: Being able to check and clean the vent system is important so place it in a serviceable area as best you can. Always follow the instructions that come with your dryer. Consult a technician when in doubt.

Dryer heats up but doesn't dry clothes...

It's not your heating element. Your venting system is clogged. Like mine was. You'll need to take care of this ASAP and from then on at least once a year. It is a fire hazard. Not only that if left this way It can kill your heating element. 9_12_2012_9_40_31_pm.jpg

Where is the reset button

There is no reset button but if you unplug the machine for a few moments and then plug it back in that should reset the machine back to factory settings. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_4570d45317834dd3

Dryer in a foot of water now wont start can i save it?

Was it plugged in? If so then there is a good possibility that mulriple components were damaged, motor for sure, so its dried out and you plug it in and it doesn't work I would just leave it be, you'll end up spending more money than its worth trying to fix it. I hav a kenmore 11066652501 dryer...I have replaced the thermal fuse twice and have cleaned out all the lint vents and it worked for about 15 minutes and quit. the heat works but it wont turn

You may need a new drum motor . It is probably burned out. ALso be certain you check you hose for the lint to escape . I do not use high heat because it does get "too hot" and cannot be good for the dryer .

How do you clean lint out of back?

The way to visually see if the belt has broken or not is to 1) unplug the dryer. 2) Remove the lint screen on the top of the dryer. 3) take the two phillips head screws out where the lint trap is. 4) with a flat head screwdriver pop the top of the dryer up by sliding the driver inbetween the top and front of the dryer and pry upwards a little. 5) You'll now see the drum, if the belt is not around it its broken, and if it's visible try to lift it. If it taught, its good. 6) on the left and right upper inner sides of the dryer you will find two screws, one on each side, remove these and the front should be easlily remove. 7) once off you'll be able to easily see the motor, the belts idler pulley, and everything else. The back of the machine can be removed with a 1/4" driver to get to the remaining area If the dryer is a DUET or HE2 or HE3 style, (dryers that match the front loader) then the way you take the top off is a little different. For these machines, there are 3 to 4 screws located on the top back side you'll need to remove, and then the dryer top can be slid back and removed. How to replace the thermal fuse in lgq8611lw1

The thermal fuse is bad, the part # is 3392519. This part is located at the back of the machine on the lower left side. You will need to remove the back panel to access this part. Be sure that you unplug the machine before starting. On certain machines, the thermal fuse is located in the front. To access this you must remove the kickplate, which can be done by pushing the clips, one on each side jsut above the top of the kickplate, in between the top and abottom portion. The part numbers are the same for either style dryer. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_4570d45317834dd3
