The ice maker dosn't get
Make sure you're getting water to the fridge. Check to see if the water has been turned off. Water valve could be faulty. If you have a ohm meter you can check the coil that opens and closes the water fill valve. There many other things to check depending on your skill level.

Even though i have the
the way that works is if you set the fridge area vent wide open and freezer at 4.
then you have called for most of all the cold air to blow from the freezer in to the cooler area.
this causes the cooler area to be to cold. go the other way with the fresh food setting and give it 48 hrs.

The temperature reading from the fridge reads 72
Greetings,
first off, is it running? are the fans running? the compressor? if yes, then look for ice built up on the freezer rear panel.if so, this indicates its missed its defrost and ice is frozen over the evaporator...this is keeping air from going thru the coil into the refrigerator...remove panel and defrost for temp service...most likely a bad heater, but not always...I think yours has a electronic board that could also keep it from running or going into a defrost as well
if not coming on at all and there is a 5x8 cover on the back rear of refrigerator right bottom area. this houses the control board..they can keep the refrig from running, sometimes you will hear clicking coming from this...another thing is the compressor relay could be bad..if so, you will usually hear the compressor click every five minutes or so..the relay can be removed and if it rattles when you shake it..its bad...I hope, I've helped....Bruce Denton

My GE Adora Refrigerator is making ice but not
The switch for the screwfeeder is probably not any good. With ice or not, the screwfeeder should turn when you push the handle in to dispense ice. If there is any ice in the hopper, it will get drawn in by the screwfeeder and sent out the dispenser door in to your waiting container.

My DSS25KGRE WW GE Adora
Here's a general troubleshooting guide:
If the temperature is too low and you can't make it warmer by adjusting the thermostat, you probably have a defective thermostat. If so, you need to replace it, because they cannot be repaired. Other possible problems are a leak in the sealed (refrigerant) system, cold air migration (in side-by-side models) or a defective air damper. These problems can be quite difficult to locate and correct, we recommend you contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

It sounds, also, like this could be a defrosting cycle problem, and that would be the main control board. An ice line has possibly frozen to the icemaker
This page has some problems reported by owners of GE:

I'm thinking damper problem is probably what's going on, so check it to see that it opens and closes. There are new damper kits for some models, and may have one for yours.

Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.

Hi,
Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator
do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other
things that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the
last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start
trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling
a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

My icemaker won't switch back to cubed ice. all i
If you select cube and hold open the door and push in on the light switch and have someone push the lever for ice you should hear a loud click this is from the selector switch in the back that engages a long brass colored rod under the ice maker if you hear this loud click you probably have some crushed ice in the crusher keeping it from switching back open the door and push in on the light switch and have someone push for cube ice it will kick ice out the bottom so dont be alarmed. (sometimes you have to do this a couple times) good luck

Hi,
The fans for those often bend or get out of balance...the best thing to do is to just replace the fan..have tried fixing them and the fix is only temporary once you start having problems...
