Dishwasher was stuck on rinse
First, make absolutely sure that the debris trap at the bottom of the machine is absolutely clear, the outlet hose is not kinked or obstructed, and drain it feeds into is unobstructed. If all those things prove to be fine, then the fault most likely lies either with a water pressure switch, the programmer, or the main circuit board (in increasing order of expense).
Diagnosing which one though is for a Whirlpool specialist. Although they have diagnostic equipment, they'll usually just take the fastest route and try substituting parts based upon experience until they hit the mark as it can be quicker. Unlike you, they'll either have the parts to hand (or can get them quickly) and can swap back any parts they try unsuccessfully. If you do it yourself, the parts you buy are non-returnable as soon as the box has been opened, so if you guess incorrectly it can cost you far more than getting the engineer out.
Sorry I cannot provide a definitive fix for you, but remote diagnosis has its limitations.
Good luck, and please take a moment to rate my reply.
