My dishwasher is on, green light is on, but don't want to start

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with check the door latch and/or the door lock switch as if the door will not engage the dishwasher will sense that the door is open and will not start the cycle. If this appears to be fine then check if the dishwasher will fill water, if it is then it is the control panel that needs to be replaced, if not then you have to replace the water inlet valve. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

ADG6340 not washing well. Now tablet doesn't dissolve sometimes.

Hello,
I have a similar dishwasher that had the same issues. My wife was disgusted with the job it was doing. I found a lot of old food dtuff stuck up under the float cap. Also the bottom spray arm cap was broke and the spray arms were both full of soap particle and other stuff. Ordered new srapy arms and cap from repairclinic.com and everything was less then fifty bucks with shipping.
My wife says it is doing a much better job now,
Mostly check at the bottom just inside the door for gunk and under the float cap on the bottom in the front left corner.

Here is a general tip about dishwasher maintanence also...

When I turn on the dishwasher it seems to 'power

this is actually normal, it is going through a purge cycle,
draining, checking water temp, checking water fill
the longer the cycle, the more it needs to check
this coud be remedied by cutting back on your saop a bit
less suds

Dishwasher not working. Two flashes.

If anyone have same issue then dont rush to change display or any big repair works. I suggest to try out much smaller things, I had same issue and found solution cleaning up cold water intake filters. They didint looks dirty but i still clean them and now works dishwasher as new. One more thing. Before it does maschine knocking and work very disturbed paused after few seconds. Looks like it diidnt get enough water to work. Sometimes is sisimpliest solution most right.
