Most of the problem in dishwasher is related to float switch that informs the timer to move to the next cycle. There are two float switches, one for water level and the other one for water empty or drain. These two must move else the cycle will continue for ever.

Hi I am vortash it sounds like this is a water level switch ( vacum ) problem it is telling the machine there is water in and the machine carries on and doesn't open the flow valve to put the water in .. as it thinks it is full . or the controller is faulty and need s repalcing .. try replacing the level control first as this would be cheaper than the programer.. Maybe the blockage is somewhere else. How about removing all the trays from the dishwasher, in other words, empty it from all racks and dishes and try it again
