Dishwasher fills with water and then stops. No

More than likely the control panel has failed, this is about a $300 repair on most.

I think your dishwasher is in this group. You will have to check the serial number against the range. They specifically check for cracks and holes in the detail. http://servicematters.whirlpoolcorp.com/dm_safety/8178502a.pdf Whirlpool Inglis Plastic Tall-Tub Dishwasher Heater Rework #R17365

Are there intake filter screens on the GU1500XTL B?

I have never heard of a water filter for a dishwasher since the water entering your house is clean and filtered and potable. If the water supply line for your dishwasher is clogged you have a different problem where in you must clear it to allow sufficient flow for the machine to fill. If it is restricted it will most likely take longer to fill but it will still operate. If the filler is on a timer then you will not be getting enough water into the machine and must restore adequate flow for it to operate. There is no need to filter water into your dishwasher. People who have water supply problems will get water conditioners for hard water issues and whole house filters for sediment problems. I would get Culligan to take responsibility and fix the problem if they caused it.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

You can put vinegar inside the rinse aid dispenser and then run it empty at its hottest cycle, after this if the problem is still there then you have to remove it completely to clean it. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Our GU2500 ACCUSENSE light keeps

Hi.

The Accusense light flashing is an error code pointing at a defective touch pad.

Try performing a diagnostic cycle to reset the appliance. If that does not work the touch-pad must be replaced.

To perform the Diagnostic & Reset cycle:

To start press the keys combination below in less than 6 seconds

Heated dry, Normal,
Heated dry, Normal
Heated dry, Normal

To advance the diagnostic cycle step-by-step press the Start key.

When cycle is complete the machine will reset. If the cycle does not start because controls do not work or if Accusense light comes back on, that means that you have a defective touch-pad. In that case check touch pad to control module connector or replace the touch-pad. Use the phone number listed in the owners manual if you want to contact a technician.

Regards.

The dishwasher will not run. The Clean light

Hi
If clean light is blinking 7 times then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset.
If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

The top rack and silverware do not look clean even

The filter is probably blocked.

It is inside the base of the machine.

Take out the filter and clean it and also clean out the filter well as that can also hold quite a bit of debris.

The other thing is to check is that you have added salt (dishwasher salt not cooking) in the water softener and that the machine is set for the water hardness in your area.

Upper tray doesn't clean, lower

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound. If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve.
Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.

Dishwasher fills with hot water then does nothing

Do you get any humming noise when you turn it ON?

How long its been you used the dishwasher last time...?

If you are getting an humming noise then Sounds like the water circulator pump is stuck. The motor tries to turn it (humming noise), but cannot. So a breaker trips (self reset). Not claiming this is actually the problem, but this is what the motor turns.

Whirlpool dishwasher gu2500xtpq1. Clean light

The blinking clean light is an interruption in the dishwasher program that usually indicates a component problem or program malfunction. If a component is defective, it's usually attributed to the heating cycle or thermostat failure. To rule out component failure, or program error, the following link explains how you may be able to clear the blinking clean light problem and possibly avoid a service call:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575752-dishwasher_blinking_clean_light

Keep in mind all dishwashers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up that I have mentioned, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain the touch pad functions. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Just remove the screws that hold the panel in place and remove.

NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.

In many cases, I found this to be a momentary glitch in operation. If the problem keeps reoccuring the number of flashes is an indication of WHICH circuit is causing your problem. As all dishwashers differ in operation and features, refer to your tech sheet for the recommended troubleshooting steps.

NOTE: Some dishwashers use the Sani-Rinse/Air Dry combination, some use the Sani-Rinse/Heated Dry combination. Some use a sequence of three, others use a sequence of 5 pushes of the buttons. If the tech sheet is not located behind the lower toe panel, it should be affixed somewhere under the dishwasher. I have also found them located inside the inner door panel. Please post back and let me know if you still need assistance.
