first off send the brand name and model number off of the dryer open the door and look around the opening where you put the clothes in and you'll see the model number.there is only one belt,you could have a bad roller,or a bad belt pulley or something in the blower wheel from running the dryer with the lint filter out,something can go down where the filter goes and get into the blower but the only way to tell is by getting in there,if you need help send info or go on utube and put in your model and brand name,there's tons of videos out there on taking apart dryers.

if the high limit is popping the dryer is getting to hot,i know you say you checked the vent line but i've heard that before,when i get out i remove the vent from the back of dryer,change out the t-stat and run it with the vent line off and it runs fine,how long is the vent line?if it's a long run remove it from the back of dryer and stick a leaf blower into it,blow it out to the outside and see what comes out,also first run it on air fluff,if this is a newer dryer set it to timed dry and then you can set it to air fluff,go outside and feel how it blows,then after you blow it out check it again,if you see alot of lint blow out and it's blowing harder your all set,you should take the dryer apart and clean it and the vent line once a year and you won't have any problems like this,also you won't have to worry about a dryer fire,your clothes will dry on time and less parts will have to be changed out,also when you get it to heat again run it on air fluff,if it gets hot on air fluff you have a shorted heater,one of the coils are touching the metal box on the heater and the heater won't shut off,also you have to clean out the duct where the lint filter slides down into,if this is blocked the dryer can't push the air out the blower wheel is blocked with lint.hope this helps you out happy holidays

William, IF you here the motor running, and it does not spin, you probably have a broken belt. Hope this helps!

check ur heater element, the hi limit and the thermal cut off fuse.

Sounds like a loose connection in the plug causing arcing (sparking) cut back the lead and re connect to plug, if not confident ask someone preferably someone electrically minded. Good luck.

It sounds like a timer problem. You'll have to get a Technician to troubleshoot it.

Check your vent hose and where it exits the building, clean away all lint anything blocking the vent cap or in the vent hose. Remove the vent from the back of the dryer and make sure it is all clean and clear there and make sure the betn is not kinked up when putting the dryer back into it space. Now before you blow me off, if any of this is true for your dryer the heat will build up and trip the thermostat causing it not to heat properly and the blower wheel can not move the air to collect the moisture and remove it from inside the dryer. Also, any sagging vent line can collect moisture which turns to a puddle of water in the line and this to will not allow your dryer to dry the clothes. Good luck I hope I have helped you.

Sounds like your heating element has went out. So you will either have to replace it $100 to $150 or purchase a new one

Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

if the bearing are going it will sound like a plain taking off grinding banging them you will end up with grease all over your clothes was told from an engineer once never put you m/c on any thing over 900 rpm spin speed as the bearings ar not designed to go any faster i have a hotpoint and its over 12 year old still sounds like new and never had a problem with it hope this help
