I bought an HP DL380 G4 from here, and called them up any time I had a question like this. These guys were amazingly smart. Perhaps you can call them up and pretend to be a customer?

Replace the HDD whose led is blinking in AMBER ( orange ) colour.

Hello,Assuming the system is powering on but you can't see the POST, reset the jumpers on the board for POST (Check your user manual for location), reboot your system, which should go into the POST, make any correction needed, reset the jumper and reboot your system. Good Luck.

Hello,

First, make sure all your connections are secure and the BIOS is seeing your hard drives. When you start the install of Server 2000, you will see a prompt at the bottom of the screen saying if you have third party software to install press any key. (or something to that effect.) Press any key and install the needed software drives for the SCSI controller. You will need this to move forward. If you do not have the drivers, you will need to download them to a cd or usb drive to complete your server install.
