Tub basket out of round or off balance

My machine overheated in the high speed spin cycle, rubbing the door gasket and created a stinky cloud of steam and some rubber crumbs. I don't think it's a bearing issue (wiggled and spun without notable issues) but the front rim of the basket seems out of round, in fact the X and Y axis measured diameters differ by 5/8 inch. I'm thinking of trying to return it to round with some force. Ideas?

New DUET tub - spindle too short so lock nut not fully engaged

Locktite, TM, is an excellent choice, as long as the nut engages three full turns on the threads. alternatively, if there is sufficient thread to use two pal nuts tightened against each other. The biggest problem is that to hold the retaining nut, being thin, requires a thin wrench, while the locking nut can use a regular wrench. If there is enough thread on the shaft for teo pal nuts, the regular locking nut may not engage the locking insert, in which I would use the Locktite. Are you sure you didn't install a thrust washer on the wrong side of the bearing mount, possibly not even intended but worth checking, Ken

F05 error for Whirlpool GHW9100L Front Load Washer

The following link explains the "F05" error code:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r629462-f05_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

I hope you find this information helpful. I have seen this error code generated by something as simple as a loose connector on the NTC sensor. Hopefully, you can resolve this with no expense. If you do require any parts, however, you can locate parts with illustrations at searspartsdirect.com or repairclinic.com. If you require further assistance, please let me know.

Won't drain, is there a filter on the pump?

Two things I can think of , the coupling to the pump has broken or a coin or other object has entered the pump and jammed it. either way the pump will have to be removed for repairs.

Loud banging noise during rinse

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.

Duet washer ghw9100lw1 basket has worn the edge of front tub sect

hi
The agitator -- the finned part that fits on the tub shaft -- can also tear laundry if the fins are cracked or broken. You may be able to solve the problem temporarily by pinching off the splinters with pliers and lightly filing the plastic smooth, but this is just a stopgap measure; the agitator should be replaced. Replace a damaged agitator with a new one of the same type. To do this, unscrew the cap on top of the agitator. With the cap off, pull straight up on the agitator; it should lift off. If it doesn't move, rap its side with a hammer. If it still won't lift off, drive wedges under the bottom rim of the agitator to dislodge it. Then set the new agitator into place and replace the agitator cap.

Damage to the snubber, a padlike device sometimes located under the agitator cap, can cause the machine to vibrate excessively. The snubber may have a suspension spring in it. Lift off the agitator cap and examine the snubber. If the spring is broken, or if the pad is visibly worn, replace the entire snubber. Snubbers might also be found at the splash guard at the top of the tub, under the transmission, or as part of the water pump housing. Look around until you see it.

If the machine doesn't have a snubber, listen for noise at the suspension unit between the tub and the machine cabinet. The suspension unit has fins or pads that may need replacement. In some cases, the entire unit may have to be replaced. Another noise point is the basket support nut. Tighten the nut or, if you can't tighten it, replace it.

Sudden tub stops can be caused by a broken motor belt, but they are usually due to poor tub loading. Check to see if wet laundry is wadded around the bottom of the tub shaft, or under the basket or agitator assembly. Remove the basket or agitator in order to remove the laundry easily.

Ghw9400plo

Hi, Your unit has an access panel, at the bottom of this panel are 2-4 screws. Remove them and the panel also, unplug the unit, with your right hand and to the right of the door, use you hand to go inside the unit toward the door latch. At the bottom of the door latch is a pull down looks like a tear drop but can only be felt. This is the door release, when you pull on this gently you should hear a click. This is the emergency door release for this unit. Good Luck I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249
