I can't get the door on my washing machine to open. It has completed a full cycle correctly and has stopped - but the door is sealed tight and will not open - leaving all my washed clothes inside. How do I get the door open? Thanks
I had the same problem. I went through all the steps on this thread to no avail. Finaly I just pryed the thing open - with no damage, thank goodness.
Once open I saw that the latch in the door didn't move when I pulled the handle. The problem it seems was in the latch on the door itself. If you end up this problem and want to get wet clothes out, just stick a flat-head screwdriver, behind the door latch into the horseshoe-shaped metal bit and lever it open - no prying necessary.
Not sure how I'm going to fix this permantely but at least I got my wet clothes out and can do laundry as long as I keep the screwdriver near by.
To fix - I'll either need to figure out how to disassemble the door and replace the latch mechanism, or just buy a whole new door.

My Whirlpool front loader makes a slapping/banging noise during spin cycle. The house/floor is level on concrete slab foundation. The belt is fine. Lots of vibration and noise during spin cycle. Not over loaded or under loaded. Use correct laundry detergent and settings...any ideas?
remove the top access panel 3 screws in top rear.
now look around and push on the drum from top
it has suspension shocks and springs like your car they should resist any movements.
look/wiggle the concrete balance blocks , no cracks or loose.
inside the tub are the arm solid /not loose.
run it with the top open what do you see/hear and where
look under the rubber flap in front did anything get under the tub

My Duet Sport is making a horrible clanking noise on the spin cycle. I suspect some change or a button or something has worked its way between the drum and the housing. I have removed the top cover and can't see anything obvious that might be causing the noise. How do I open it up to find the source? I don't want to remove more parts than I have to!
Had one do this. Turn machine around look at bottom two corners. Machine comes with metal rods to stabilize drum during shipping. Installer forgot to pull those out on mine. Once I removed them noise quit.

The machine does not have a reset button and the manual does not seem to speak to the problem
Usually the computer resets if you unplug the machine for 5 minutes.

my indesit washing machine door wont open . It has finished its cycle, there is no water inside with my clothes, yet it still ownt open, i have tried turning the power off and it still wont open
have you tried unplugging it for a couple of minutes ?

Whirlpool LHW0050PQ will not drain during rinse/spin cycle. lights on front panel blink.
you need to check pump assembly for blockage, if there is a kick plate, the will be two or three screws and if the isn't you'll have to go through the back

Loud clanking noise during spin cycle. Will not spin during the whole final spin cycle and clothes are wet.
If it is a front loader, then remove the rear panel, remove the belt, and soin drum by hand, if it feels rough, or is noisy and rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed.
This is a major repair.

How do you reset a Whirlpool Washing Machine Model LHW0050PQ. There is no button apparent and it is not covered in the instructions.

My whirlpool LHW0050PQ4 worked fine last week, but today after I powered on , choosed type of washing and water level then pressed start, but nothing happened, no water in and no spin. I tried several times, and the same, I can see the wash light was on and after a while, the done light was flashed, can you please let me know what should I chek and what to do? Thanks in advance.

How is the liquid fabric softener dispenser supposed to work? It never appears to dispense. The clothes definitely do not smell like they have any softener on them. I looked inside & there aren't any water "jets"above the dispenser, just over the bleach and detergent sections. I cleaned out the dispenser of any old softener. What can I do to get the softener to dispense in the drum? Thanks!
