HL04932940 27" FRONT LOAD WHIRLPOOL HE WASHING MACHINE LEAKING WATER FROM BOTTOM

First check is the standpipe drain. The hose that comes from washer should not be inserted more than 4". More than that can cause a syphoning situation that can cause leaks from beneath. If that seems okay you will have to see where water is coming from by observing the machine in action with back or bottom service panel removed (if it has one.)

Continiuos flowing of water

Depends on what you mean by continious flowing, if it is flowing even when the machine is shut off then one of the intake valves may be stuck open. If it is continiously flowing in when filling up and wont stop you more then likely have a problem with the pressure switch not switching off, so have a look at the tube to the pressure switch. If this has been rubbing on the outer drum it may have come off the switch or put a small pin hole in it causing loss of pressure up to the switch. Only a thin tube that runs from the bottom of the drum to the switch.

I have sour mildew smell problem with my clothes

Look inside the door to the gray rubber ring gasket thingy. Pull apart the sides and look in. Betcha a dollar to a donut there's mold in there. It's a gross, nasty problem whirlpool customer service doesn't give a damn about. That's where water sets after wash cycles. There are tablets call "Affresh" which can be run with hot water for a cycle to attempt to clean out the mold/mildew. Not cheap, not fair, and probably will only be a start to a maintenance type cure if you've had the washer for awhile. May take some manual labor with bleach as well. NOT a sanitary washer. This is an unbelieveable problem with a washer. Piece of ****.

Maytag PAV2200AWW will not spin, previously it made a loud, grinding noise. Should I invest in a new one or have it repaired. I've had it since 1999.

All you need is the thrust bearing kit. It will cost less then $50.00 and take about 30 minuets to fix. Here is a link to the kit you need.Below is a video to walk you thru the process.

Front Loader Washer Cheap Parts I Need

Look on Craigslist or ebay for broken washers that are the same as yours (as long as they don't have the same problem) and purchase parts from it or the whole thing for cheap. Otherwise, some city's have appliance "junk yards" that you can get parts from.

Pump repair

Instructions1 Unplug the electrical cord of the washing machine from the electrical outlet before attempting to repair the water pump.2 Turn the water supply off at the shut-off valves behind the washing machine by hand.3 Press in on the end caps of the washer while pulling forward to remove the caps from the control console and locate the screws in the front of the console on each end.4 Unfasten the screws on the control console with a screwdriver and flip the console back so that it rests on the rear hinges.5 Unplug the lid switch connector from the top of the dryer near the back, lifting the plug off the metal prongs by hand. Use a screwdriver to pry up the metal clips that are holding the top on the dryer.6 Lift the top lid off the washer base, set the top out of the way, and locate the water pump at the bottom of the cabinet on the motor shaft.7 Slide the metal clips off the top of the water pump with a screwdriver and remove the pump from the motor shaft.8 Place a plastic container underneath the water pump to catch any water from the pump and detach the hoses, unfastening the clamps with a screwdriver.9 Remove the hoses from the pump, allowing the excess water to drain into the plastic container, and remove the pump from the washing machine.10 Attach the hoses to the new water pump, securing the clamps with a screwdriver. Place the new pump on the motor shaft, sliding the metal clips back over the pump.11 Take the plastic container out of the washer cabinet, disposing of the water. Place the top lid of the washer back over the cabinet, securing it with the metal clips on the top.12 Plug the lid switch connector back into the top of the washer near the back, attaching the connector by hand. Flip the control console back down over the washer, securing the console with screws on the ends.13 Fasten the end caps back over the control console by hand and turn the water supply back on at the shut-off valves.14 Plug the electrical cord of the washer into the electrical outlet.THanks

Loud clanking noise during spin cycle. Will not

If it is a front loader, then remove the rear panel, remove the belt, and soin drum by hand, if it feels rough, or is noisy and rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed.
This is a major repair.
