A higher capacity battery should work even better because a fully charged 900 mAh battery allows the phone to operate 50% longer than a 600 mAh battery between charges. I have had good results with Rayovac Recharge Plus 900 mAh in my Philips SE450. This phone will latch and not operate upon ringing if it doesn't like its batteries (probably high internal resistance), even though the batteries test good on a battery tester.

press bottom left button and then hold down 7. display will show 0-0 to indicate its turned on. 2 to read messages. 3 to skip to next messge. 4 to record your message. 5 to listen to current welcome message. 6 to delete messages. 7 to activate answer machine. 9 to deactivate ans mach. 0 to record internal memo. To use any of these functions bottom left button must be pressed first.

Clicked and hold down the ringer buton, followed by registering the phone.

The phone was probably short-circuited when it got wet. Plugging it in could cause a fire. It most likely is time to buy a new one. Sorry.

The handset is not ‘registered’ with the based unit.
By default, the Master PIN is 0000.

1. On the base station, press and hold The paging key for approximately 5 seconds.
2. On the handset, press Menu key,
3. scroll : to ADVANCE SET and press (Menu) OK,
4. scroll : to REGISTRATION and press (Menu) OK.

Note: If no action is taken on the handset within 10 seconds, the registration procedure will be aborted. If this happens, repeat Step 1.

Press the c/Mute button (Has a tape logo on it) It should say either TAD ON or TAD OFF - presumably yours says TAD OFF!! Press number 8 to switch between TAD ON & TAD OFF.... If Answer is on, you'll hear a double beep and the orange message light will come on.

The message left has to be longer than 3 seconds...Not sure what brilliant mind came up with this since "Hey, it's me, call me back as soon as you can!" is less than three seconds and could be urgent, but that's their rules.

If you've tested it with longer messages, please let me know!

Press the OGM Button, if you here their voice, press the delete button.
To record your message, press the OGM button for 2 seconds, wait to hear the beep, the OG will be blinking, speak into the microphone on the base, press stop when done.
If you want ot hear it, press OGM.

0000 is the universal code ,else download go to the mob. shop near u and they have some software to open it..charges r nominal 50-100 rs.

Could be line cord connection at base or other wiring issue. Do you have a different phone(s) at same location that work? If you have a known good phone, the simpler the better, unplug all other tele devices at your location and verify the know good phone works?

You need to dry it out completely. A few centrifugal swings around your shoulder might remove much of the water. Then try one of these drying methods: Place it on a register or AC vent for a day or so might be the best way to get it dry. Afterwards, (if trying to operate it didn't short out a component,) it might work again.
