Does the power light come on? If yes, then you can do a reset as below: There is a master switch on the bottom left of the control board. Slide that to 'off' position. Then press the hot and cold switch/key together and then slide the master switch back to 'on'. Please put your response/observation here if that does not work or there is power light as asked on top. i'm not familiar with your specific unit but ..sounds like an electronic gas value has gone bad or has a bad connection when that happened to my friend it wasn't that expensive to have it fixed .. BYW it acted like this for a while then stopped working completely

Self evaporating simply means there is a drain pan with a heater device installed that will evaporate and condensate that drains from the unit into the pan.

You do not need the external drain pan unless the unit makes more water than the drain pan and drain pan heater can handle.

If this is a window unit, the tray drain is located at the bottom outside. It may be clogged, but also the unit may not have been installed correctly to direct water flow toward the outside drain.

All this means is that the Copeland monitor is sensing amp draw on the compressor but it is not detecting a Y signal calling for the compressor to run.
