Amcor AHD45 Dehumidifier Questions & Answers
Unit does not start, shows E2 error, can you help
I have searched and searched and have not been able to find an Owner's Manual for your model Amcor Dehumidifier. I did discover that Haier and Fredrich both have similar models, So similar, I suspect Haier manufactured them. But, neither the Haier nor the Fredich's unit have any information concerning Error Code 2. Plus, the ratings for your Amcor model were not very good. Seems that Amcor is riddled with problems.
In any event, lets try to solve your problem. First, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and remove the water collection bucket and the air intake filter. Check the filter closely for significant dust and dirt buildup and clean it if necessary. Make sure the filter is thoroughly dry, before placing it in the unit. Leave the unit unplugged for at least 15 minutes or until the filter is dry. Then replace the filter, insert the bucket - making sure that it fits swaourely from top to bottom into the bucket holder. Plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Hopefully, the 15 minute timeout has allowed the unit's electronics to reset themselves and they reverted back to the original factory settings. If so, set the controls to your liking and the unit should start and run like it should.
Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
My dehumidifier has not, does
Hi,
First, make sure the humidistat isn't set too high by adjusting it to
the lowest humidity setting and running it again. Next, test the
dehumidifier by placing it in a closed bathroom with a hot shower
running. If you don't see water collecting in the unit after several
minutes, turn the unit off and clean all dehumidifier filters and
coils. If, after adjusting the settings and cleaning the unit, you
still don't see water collecting, you may have a refrigeration issue.
This situation will have to be addressed by a qualified technician.
Take care.
Filter frozen
This can typically be caused by two items, low refrigeration gas or insufficient air flow. I would shut the unit down, unplug it and let it set for a day to thaw out. Clean all the air passages and replace the filter. Plug it in and turn it back on. If it continues to freeze you probably have either low refrigeration gas or a fan that is not operating properly.

Amcor Dehumidifer TC120 - Circuit Board Required
It is not your relay. Mine did the same and the problem is the resistor that drive it goes short so the relay clatters as the circuit is trying to control it. The actual fault is the 78p153sp driver. You can change the transistor, a pnp will do the trick but the driver is dead. I'm currently looking for this IC and they're hard to find, cheap Chinese tat. So instead I'll likely fit a temp sensor that detects when the cooling coils reach about 4deg and switch the fridge off because shorting the relay will just cause the cooling to stay on and you'll get ice, it needs to cool, collect moisture, switch off, warm up and dump the moisture...crude but it works. This unit is worth saving.

Unfortunately, you will be hard pressed to find parts for your Amcor Dehumidifier. This British Manufacturing Company of electrical household goods went out of business 03/11/2009. Although, there are some of their appliances are still on the market, you can rest assured their warranty is useless.
I wish I had better news for you, but it is what it is. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Where can I get a stopper to stop the water coming
Sorry it's taken so long for someone to respond to your question. The reason may be, that it's not very clear to us, what exactly you're trying to do. I think it's the part about "the water coming from the continuous exit pipe" and why you would want to run it into the dehumidifier tank?
So, if you could explain the specifics a little better, we may can help you.
Thanks

AMCOR SD10 Dehumidifier, Need to replace the electric fan motor.
Take it out, and search the part number on line, they are bout $40 with s/h. however my current discovery:
It made no sense to me that despite no visual issues, the fan motor is bad. So, with further research it turns out that the true culprit is the small thermistor/thermal fuse between the orange wire (ground) and motor winding wire. The thermistor is taped underneath the silver aluminium and yellow tape on the fan motor. I heard about this bad (open/no continuity) thermistor makes almost >99% of the fan motor problem regardless of any brand name because this cheap c-fram fan motor is NOT made in USA. I opened the motor, there is a silver (aluminum wrap) around the windings for the motor that needs to be cut. Careful not to cut the motor windings. Inside there is a thermistor or type of temperature sensor connected between the orange wire and a motor winding wire. On my motor this was no longer working.
The part marked "JET 123 NM1 2A 130C" is a thermal fuse. The 130C is the temperature rating. When the motor get hot (130C / 265F) the fuse opens. The circuit is broken and the motor stops.
The motor is still good. The fuse is blown. It must be replaced to get the motor running again. You could bypass the fuse but then you invite a fire hazard.
A replacement fuse is available from Digi-Key. It is a Cantherm SDJ1 DF128S (128C):

Part cost 98 cents
You might want to go with the next higher temp (141C):

When it is below freezing outside, humidity drops inside.
Does it need to be running? A digital humidity sensor from Radio Shack is cheap and may tell you the humidity is OK - 50% or less.
