even if the battery was replaced recently check if it is damaged or depleted. also, the battery connection could be loose.

It comes out the front also.....but it is a real pain if the cabling was put on with out any thought the last time they were replaced. I had to hire a neighbor hood teen ages to get down and "walk" the battery out by rocking it back and forth.
