How do I turn privacy on?
You can turn on privacy either by programming it in system programming or you can program a privacy button on your set. To program a button on your set, press feature 00, press the button you want to be a privacy button, and prerss feature 07. press feature 00 to exit programming.

How do i transfer a call on my avaya 18D phone?
You will need to pull that call on hold, then dial the extension of the person you wish to transfer it and then push the transfer button to connect them together.
If you have any other problems with this particular Avaya model you can always download this
great manual.
It really helped me a lot with my problems. Good luck! :)

How do I set phone to ring
Partner, all releases.
Examples
Receptionist Call Routing. If you want calls to be
answered by the receptionist first, set the lines at the receptionist’s
extension to Immediate Ring and the lines at the users’ extensions to
No Ring. (This is the factory setting)
Receptionist Backup. If you want all calls on a
line to ring directly at users’ extensions -with the receptionist
providing backup -set the line at the users’ extensions to Immediate
Ring. Then set the line (or lines) at the receptionist’s extension to
Delayed Ring. An incoming call that is not answered by a user within 20
seconds will also ring at the receptionist’s extension.
Programming
To change the way outside lines or pools ring at an extension:
- Press [ Feature ] [ 0 ] [ 0 ] [ System Program ] [ System Program ] [ Central Tel Program ].
- Enter the number of the extension to be programmed for Line
Ringing. The green lights next to the line or pool buttons on the phone
show the current Line Ringing settings for all lines assigned to the
extension. (If a line is not assigned to a button, the green light next
to the button is off.) The following ringing options can be shown by
the green light next to the line button.
- Immediate Ring - on steady
- Delayed Ring - flashes slowly
- No Ring - flutters quickly
- To change Line Ringing for any line, press the line or pool button
until the button light shows the correct setting (the setting for the
currently selected line or pool also appears on the display).
- Continue programming or exit programming mode.

Power Pair
It doesn't have one. The voice pair (3+4 or 4+5 on an 8-pin jack) has 24 volts DC and the data pair less, but the power to run the phone comes from both pairs, or more probably from the voice pair.Carl

Changing the time on a Partner system must be done from extension # 10 or 11.
1. At station(Ext.10 or 11) press feature, 0, 0
2. Press the left intercom 2 times
3. Enter # 103
4. Enter the correct time in 24 hr. format, for example:
* to set the time for 09:00 A.M., enter 0900
* to set the time for 04:45 P.M., enter 1645
5. Press feature, 0, 0

I have mistakenly blocked anonymous
LOL Yeah, there must have been a reason for using it, but you better remember the undo code.
On your main line, *77 sets and *87 unsets Anonymous call rejection. In our system, if you wait until the ring is answered, the lady in the box will tell you that "your service to block anonymous callers is OFF"

Lines ring to a certain
From Ext 10 or 11>
Dial feature 00>
Hit the left intercom button twice>
The display will show "System Programming"
To remove the Ext. from group 73
Dial #502>
The display will show 'Group"
Dial 3 for group 73
The display will show "Extension"
Dial the Ext # of the phone that needs to changed
Dial 2 to un-assign the Ext from Group 73
To add the Ext. to group 72
Dial #502>
The display will show 'Group"
Dial 2 for group 72
The display will show "Extension"
Dial the Ext # of the phone that needs to changed
Dial 1 to assign the Ext to Group 72
Dial Feature 00 to exit System Programming and save the changes
