My message light on base

Press down the "find handset" button until the paging beep stops (about 5 seconds) and this will reset the indicator lights on the handsets.

Bought new battery, charged it and it wont register or connect says to place on base to registar.

The handset must be placed into the BASE cradle. (the BASE has the telephone wire from the wall plugged into it as well as the power supply wire) The remote charging dock has only the power supply wire plugged in and it cannot do the registration. Good luck! --------------

It's not clear what the ciscumstances are. However, I give it a try.=Settings=Maybe you just got this phone, installed it by hooking up the power. In such case you should carefulle have read the manual.1) PowerDid you connect the poweradapter ?2) LineA) Some phones require a cable-connection (RJ45 connector), either to another phone-station or straight to the land-line inside your house / office. Check this connection if you made this cable-connection. B) Some DECT-type, and require another (wireless) station to be connected to (wireless). Check the manual how to connect your phone to this remote, wireless station.=Hardware=In some cases you might face some hardware / technical problems.1) BatteryIf there's no light at the display, you got probably a battery-problem. If you own this device already for a long time, you might have a fair chance the battery is old and should be replaced. If the phone is new, you should check the power-adapter which is charging the phone (it's batteries).A) PowerCheck if it is connected well to the power-outlet. Some adapters contain a built-in small LED (light), which will emit light when connected to the wall-outlet. When plugged in correctly, the LED should emit light (red or green).B) No contactThe module, or also called "station" is the part where the phone slides in, when you're not using your phone. However, it's possible the connection from the adapter to the phone is not perfect.= PoweradapterThe other end of the poweradapter should be plugged correctly into the module/holder. = Mis-agignmentThe module / station contain some (gold-alike) pins. The phone, contains gold alike pads, which should connect to these pins, when the phone is located in the module.Sometimes, due to malfunction in manufacturing-, or even logistic process, the pins might get mis-aligned. Or, even rough (ab)use of sliding the phone back into the station might result in mis-alignment of these pins. In such case you can (carefully!) re-align these pins.I hope you could locate your problem and solve it by this message.

We just installed ATT-uverse & our incoming calls don't work

I think you just need to turn the CIDCW on through the "Global Menu" The following is from the user's manual for the TRU8885.

Setting CIDCW (Caller ID on Call Waiting)
CIDCW sets the Caller ID on Call Waiting (CIDCW) displays the name and number of
an incoming call while you are on the line. Call Waiting Deluxe (CWDX) allows you
to handle call waiting calls in seven different ways.
1) Enter the Global Setup menu, and then the CIDCW
submenu (see "Entering the Menu" on page 16).
2) Press volume up/down to select CW On/CWD X O n, C W
On/CWD X O ff, or CW O ff/CW DX Off, and then press the
OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone.

I have a Uniden Integri sound Power Mac 5.8 ghz.

We have a similar problem with one of our handsets- except that in addition to the caller id, none of the other functions work. We've also noticed that we can get only about 10 mins of talk time on that particular handset before the battery goes dead. The manual says that if the battery is weak, none of the other functions on the phone will work (in order to conserve battery life). This seems to be our problem.

My uniden powermax 5.8 ghz set itself to Do Not Disturb.

The do not disturb feature (DND) allows you to mute the ringer, the base, and any registered handsets at the same time. The phone must be in standby mode. Press and hold do not disturb on the base. You will hear a confirmation tone, and the DND LED illuminates. To cancel the DND feature, press do not disturb again. You can also mute the ringer tone while the phone is ringing by pressing do not disturb on the base.
Activating the DND while the answering system is off will turn the answering system on automatically. The answering system setting will reset to the original setting when you cancel the DND.
If you press answer on/off when the DND and the answering system is on, both of the DND and the answering system will turn off.
To mute the ringer tone temporarily for each handset or the base, when the phone is ringing, press the MUTE soft key on the handset or the base. The ringer tone will return to the previous setting starting with the next incoming call.

Why do you have

There has to be some action to tell the phone you're answering the call. Old phone did so when you picked up the handset. With this phone, you might have picked up the handset just to check the caller ID, so it won't answer the call upon removing the phone from the cradle. Besides, you might have picked up the phone to go out onto the patio or to the bathroom, for example. How is the phone then to know you want to answer a call?

Hello

Have you tried taking the battery out and putting it back in? It may free it up. On the other hand, I have a corded phone that blinks when there is a new call with caller id. If I don't scroll down to every call, it continues blinking. If you have caller id, just scroll down a little more and see if the blinking stops.

hold the page button down for 5 seconds, that usually clears the blinking beep/light!!!

also make sure no old messages are in the VM inbox!
