When I get ready to dial, phone beeps 3 times

You must have an answering service from your phone company, and probably don't know about it. Try dialing your own # and wait for the prompts.

First check to make sure that the phone line is working. Unplug the telephone cord from teh telephone (Do not unplug it from the wall as you will want to make sure the telephone cord is good also) Plug in another phone and see if it works, if it does the problem is the phone, if it doesnt the problem is either the telephone cord, or the wiring in the wall or the jack.

Forgot how to add new phone numbers and names to my phone

Creating Phonebook Entries To store names and numbers in your Phonebook, please follow these steps: When the phone is in standby mode, press [phonebook icon] (on the left side of the four-way key). To create a new phonebook entry, press the NEW soft key. Edit Name appears. Enter the name for this entry (Edit Name). Use the keypad to enter a name for this entry; the name can contain up to 1 6 characters. (See page 1 1 for instructions on entering text.) If you do not want to enter a name for this entry, your phone will store this entry as No Name. Press the OK soft key when you are finished. Enter the number for this entry (Edit Number 1). Once you have stored a name, EDIT NUMBER1 appears next. Use the number keypad, [right] or [left] on the four-way function key, or the DELETE soft key to enter the phone number 1 ; the phone number can contain up to 32 digits. If you need the phone to pause between digits when it’s dialing (for example, to enter an extension or an access code), press [redial/pause] to insert a two-second pause. You will see a P in the display. You can also use more than one pause together if two seconds is not long enough. Each pause counts as one digit. Press the OK soft key when you are finished. EDIT NUMBER 2 appears next. Use the same procedure when entering the phone number 1 to enter the phone number 2. Press the OK soft key when you are finished. Assign a personal ring tone for this entry (Personal Ring). You can attach a personalized ring tone to each phonebook entry; the phone will use this ring tone when this person calls. Move the cursor to highlight one of the 20 different ring tone options. As you highlight each ring tone, you will hear a sample of that tone. When you hear the ring tone you want to use, press the OK soft key. If you do not want to use a personal ring tone for this phonebook entry, select the NO SELECTION option, and the phone will use your standard ring tone setting. Assign this entry to a Speed Dial number (Speed Dial). Your phone has 1 0 speed dial numbers, 0 to 9. Move the cursor to select the speed dial number you want to assign to this phonebook entry, and press the OK soft key. Select NO SELECTION if you do not want to assign this entry to a speed dial number. Press the OK soft key. You will hear a tone confirming that the new phonebook entry has been stored, and DONE! appears in the display. Note: When the shared memory is full, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

My unidin is saying dont disturb

To cancel the DND feature, press do not disturb again. (this is either a key on the base unit, or can be found in the Menu on the base) You can also mute the ringer tone while the phone is ringing by pressing do not disturb on the base.
Activating the DND while the answering system is off will turn the answering system on automatically. The answering system setting will reset to the original setting when you cancel the DND.

Just bought phone no dial tone i move the setting to pulse

First thing to try is another phone in the wall jack if it doesn't work either you need to call your phone company. If the other phone works, make sure that the telephone is getting power from the AC electrical outlet. Try swapping the telephone cord with another cord. and lastly, unplug the battery from teh handset and plug it back in untill you feel it click into place. Sometimes the new battery connections are pretty tight and may not really be connected even though it looks like it is plugged all the way in.

Is this just an expansion.do i need a base unit

I 'mixed' two sets by not pluggin the 2nd base unit into the phone line, thus treating it as just another remote.  Then I registered each remote into the one base unit and they all work fine.  Try re-registering the entire set of phones to one base unit.  Make sure it's a base unit that supports that many remotes.

No dial tone on one of my dual set phones

You have to register the phone to the base. Read the instructions for adding additional handsets. Regardless if it came with two handsets, one of them may not have been registerd. Sometimes it's as easy as setting the handset in the base, not the extra charge cup, for about 10 seconds. Other times you may need to use the menu on the phone and hold down a button on the base. Good luck
