I have a uniden cordless phone. Recently I changed the battery of the cordless unit but still the range of the phone has reduced drastically. It works properly only when it is near to the base unit.

The range of a handset can be affected by many things. Try some of the simple, (and free), fixes first. Where is the base unit? Is it near other technology like a TV, wiFi hub or even things like a microwave. Is it near a window or an outside wall? Try moving it to a position nearer the centre of the house so the base unit covers more signal area. How old is the handset and base? Old phones and bases do get weaker as they get older. Are there solid, (brick), walls between you and the base unit when your using the handset? Thicker, denser building material blocks out some or all of the signal from the handset.

I have a Uniden model D1780. I have 8 handsets.I have registered 6 including base headset. I try to register either one of the 2 remaining headsets say Registering then it say Registration Failed.

I had this exact problem on a D1780 and solved it by un-registering all of the handsets and then re-registering them. Before I did that it would only allow six phones to be registered at a time.

Where is the set/ start button on Uniden AS-7401 phone? Mine doesn't have English letters.I tried all buttons with no result. Is it possibble to reset the phone somehow, and than begin setting?

It looks like the Set/Start button might be the right arrow button from the arrow keys to the right of memory buttons. It's possible that it is between the right and down arrows, based on where the manual shows "Setting Finished Exit from Operation". See the English version of the manual available here: https://www.ustel.com.hk/manual/Uniden/manual_AS7401_EN.pdf . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Uniden sse 37 and handsets all have beeping sound not dial tone

Something may have failed in the base unit but there could be a telco problem that is cutting off service. If you can substitute a different phone and still don't get a dial tone, contact your telco to find out why.

Using my Uniden Dect 6.0 cordless phone, been talking for awhile and now it keeps disconnecting after only about a minute of connection.

Hello Lynn: Make sure the power cord is securely plugged into the telephone base. Plug the telephone base into a different working electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switch. Move the handset closer to the telephone base. It may be out of range. Reset the telephone base by unplugging the electrical power to the base. Wait for 15 seconds and plug it back in again. Allow up to one minute for the cordless handset and the telephone base to synchronize. Other electronic products such as HAM radios and other DECT phones can cause interference with your cordless phone. Try installing your phone as far away as possible from these types of electronic devices.

My uniden 6.0 phone does not ring goes directly to voice mail. i cheked everything

Do not disturb or silent mode may have been enabled. Without the model number of your phone, I might miss one of the ways to re-enable ringing for your model. Make sure that the phone is in standby mode. Next, check if there is a DND button on the base for the cordless phone system. If the LED for the button is lit, press that button. You may need to hold the button; enabling Do Not Disturb requires a press and hold. To disable silent mode, press and hold Silent on either the handset or the base. On the handsets, this may be the # key (below the 9). When you enable Silent Mode, you can get a prompt for how long you want the phone to be quiet. If you do not press any number key (other than 0), the Silent Mode will last until you disable it manually. You can then confirm the Silent Mode or it will be enabled after 5 seconds. I hope this helps. In both modes, the answering system will automatically be turned on if it wasn't on before enabling the mode. Cindy Wells

Flashing red charger light on uniden handsets

You don't state if the unit is on charge when it happens, or if it is all the time. You also do not state what model, and Uniden makes hundreds of products. But, it is probably an inadequate load on the charger, which would mean the battery is toast.

HOW do l set up answering machine message on Uniden XDECT 8315 home phone

The Uniden XDECT 8315 does not have an answering machine. It will check your voice mail. Setting that greeting depends on your telephone service provider. Check your provider's voice mail FAQ. To have your XDECT 8315 get your voive mail messages, press Message and then select Voice Mail. Then follow the prompts to enter your voice mail access number. Alternatively, you can press Menu > Global Menu Settings > Edit Voice Mail. See pages 17 and 32 of the manual. (See the link below.) The manual for the XDECT 8315 is available on the product page: https://uniden.com.au/product/xdect-8315-1/ . The current link to the manual is https://uniden.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/XDECT_83151_OM.pdf . If you do not have voice mail from your telephone company, you can add a stand-alone answering machine. Just make sure to connect the answering machine to the telephone jack. Then connect the answering machine RJ-11 out to the telephone's RJ-11 jack on the base. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

If you need to change the greeting then you should use custom greeting to suit your needs. Go to Menu and then settings for answering system go to greetings and it should give you instruction.
