I'm sorry but there is no economical fix for this type of problem. The LCD screen is simply failing.

If the phone is still under warranty, you can certainly return it to your place of purchase for a refund or exchange.

Otherwise you simply have to live with it as it is, or go out and buy a whole new phone handset.

All you have to do is put the phone that does not get a dial tone on the MAIN CHARGING BASE for 20 seconds! it will then sync up!

Since the local store don;t carry this unit anymore since this almost a old model already , well you can try to purchased it online.

2 of my 3 have done the same thing. It seemed to have happened after our power went out, although they werer all plugged into surge protectors. Now over time since thne they barely have any display at ALL. Cheap junk, say I.

Some of the cordless phones do not allow more than one handset to be used at the same time. Is there a transfer button on the handsets? Can you call from one handset to the other? If not the phones probably have to be used one at a time.
To get off speaker phone just push the speaker phone button again.

That will be because the static was at the callers line, not at your end. At this time of year it is water in junction boxes at the caller's residence. If it was on every call, it would be down to your connections.
